YES, so much nicer to get into nice crisp bed linen that all crumpled from the drier.

Furball · 08/11/2006 14:12

no

MascaraOHaraIncredibleSheHulk · 08/11/2006 14:12

I iron half the iron the other half - if you imagine a vertical line down the middle, I then fold, iron, fold, iron

FireFaerie · 08/11/2006 14:13

in this house people are lucky if i show the iron to their CLOTHES let alone a duvet cupboard, so cant help you sorry.. bumpity bump for you though

Iklboo · 08/11/2006 14:13

Sod ironing it. It's only going to get all crumpled anyway

(and WHY does DH get horny when I change the bed?? Note to self - change bedding twice a day!)

krib · 08/11/2006 14:13

Yes - quite sad I know. But I fold it in half, iron one side , then turn it over and iron the other, and I only iron the front of the cover. No-one sees underneath - well apart from me & dh of course, but that's another story.....

maxwellsmum · 08/11/2006 14:14

i used to iron the duvet & sheets until they were perfect... then i had my ds - realised there was much more to life and stopped!

But i have to agree that there is nothing quite like getting into a bed that has crisp covers on!

beckybrastraps · 08/11/2006 14:15

Nope.

MascaraOHaraIncredibleSheHulk · 08/11/2006 14:15

It's the only thing I actually enjoy ironing

Bumblelion · 08/11/2006 14:16

I fold it so it is manageable to iron but then just iron both sides (all in all about 1/4 gets ironed).

If I won the lottery, I would pay someone to change my sheets every other day (would like it every day but that might be a bit extreme). I just love the feel of nice clean crisp bedlinen.

Miriam2 · 08/11/2006 14:16

FireFaerie- no-one's asking you to iron a duvet CUPBOARD!!!!

FireFaerie · 08/11/2006 14:34

was hoping that would slip past you all..talking and typing is not my fortay.. niether is spelling

yomellamoHelly · 08/11/2006 14:42

Just the top. (Being practical it takes up loads less space in the cupboard once it's done.)
Favourite thing about holidays in posh hotels is the freshly laundered and ironed sheets every day.
This way I have one night of luxury at least.

Lio · 08/11/2006 14:43

What, you can take the cover off and put another one on?

iota · 08/11/2006 14:44

M&S do nice 100% cotton non-iron ones

NotActuallyAMum · 08/11/2006 14:47

Yes, every time. Wouldn't dream of not doing, feels and smells soooooo much better

Ours is super king size too so I have to do it in 3 "rows", takes a while but worth it IMO

heifer · 08/11/2006 15:18

Never even crossed my mind to iron it... just shake it after putting duvet in

Or if feeling very lazy put it underneath the duvet.... with another cover on top.... am I only one who actually does this sometimes???....

goblinqueen · 08/11/2006 15:19

gosh no! Life is too short! Besides, I don't even know if I could find the iron since Son came along!

JackieNo · 08/11/2006 15:28

Most are polycotton, so don't bother. One is a posh(er) White Company brushed flannel one, and looks horrible if not ironed. However am very lucky that cleaners do it. I think I would still do that one, even if it was me doing the ironing, though.

expatinscotland · 08/11/2006 15:29

hell no.

funnypeculiar · 08/11/2006 15:31

right after I've finished stuffing tomatoes.

cupcakes · 08/11/2006 15:35

yes as they are 100% cotton and look too creased otherwise. The only ones I don't bother with are those of the children which are polycotton.

If I can get them out of the tumble drier quick enough and fold them whilst still warm then I sometimes don't bother (but that's rare).

Mhamai · 08/11/2006 15:47

Another hell no here.
