yes, but then I iron pants

mousiemousie · 08/11/2006 18:37

Yes. You have to move it around a few times but its worth it!

bundle · 08/11/2006 18:38

ironing?

hulababy · 08/11/2006 18:38

No!

zippy34 · 08/11/2006 19:21

Noooooo!!! But I try to hang it to dry as flat as possible and well shaken out so not too many creases.

I have tried in the past in a fit of perfectionism but it was really hard and didn't look that much better.

worcestercaroline · 08/11/2006 20:15

Don't do ironing fullstop. Buy non iron items or just make sure everything is hung out to dry nicely and there is no need to iron a thing.

LadyMacbeth · 08/11/2006 20:21

My waters broke on the one night I'd ironed my bedlinen.

BudaBeast · 08/11/2006 20:24

Good God no. The cleaner does it.

WriggleJiggle · 08/11/2006 20:24

Life's too short to iron

DelGirl · 08/11/2006 20:25

not if I can help it

controlfreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaky2 · 08/11/2006 20:27

and mine buda!

BudaBeast · 08/11/2006 20:30

What - no bloody she takes so long then!!!

VanillaMilkshake · 08/11/2006 20:46

The only bedding I iron are the linen sheets I have that belonged to my Grandmother - as I think she will be smiling down on me pleased that I am making an effort, besides which we only use them in the summer in palce of a duvet!!

However the rest of our bedding is folded straight off the line or out of the drier, and with my new drier balls I hardly need to do any ironing anymore - yey

worcestercaroline · 08/11/2006 20:58

Well ladymacbeth i hope that taught u a lesson, never do the ironing!!!;0

NannyL · 08/11/2006 21:55

yes

and my fitted udner sheet!

JoolsToo · 08/11/2006 21:56

yes

Snowstorm · 08/11/2006 21:57

No - just the pillowcases

colditz · 08/11/2006 21:59

When my ds1 started playschool last year, he went over to the home corner and picked up the toy iron.

"what's that?"

"It's an iron darling, you know what that is!"

"What's it for?"

"It's for ironing, like mummy does!"

Ds1 then held it up to his ear and started to play phones with it.

In short, no, I do not iron my bedding.

motherinferior · 08/11/2006 22:00

You'll be absolutely amazed to know that no, I don't.

hester · 08/11/2006 22:03

My iron is covered with a velvety-thick layer of dust.

squatchette · 09/11/2006 09:36

Before the littleones yes and towels too..These days i fold them as soon as dryers finished and they look fine. What are dryer balls b.t.w?

Cappuccino · 09/11/2006 09:48

I tried once and it was like what I imagine fighting with a cloud would be like

only heavier

Tommy · 09/11/2006 09:50

colditz - - my DSs ran away screaming when I put the ironing board up once.... to be fair to me, I do iron, but normally when they're in bed.

But I don't iron duvet covers, or sheets, or pyjamas, pillow cases, etc etc.

My SIL irons her yellow dusters - she is the epitome of ironing

kikki · 09/11/2006 11:14

I try to. I bought some non-iron bed linen and that still needs ironing. When I am feeling particularly lazy(like now)I iron the pillowcases and cover the duvet with a bedspread and then it always looks perfect!

Sheraz · 09/11/2006 11:22

Good God no! Washing the damn thing and putting it back on is bad enough.
