Have had a gas hob all my cooking life (!) but along with new kitchen I'm considering taking a leap and going for the induction option. Any advice/recommendations please? Smile

I love my induction hob. We switched from electric ( no gas where we live) so it was bound to be an improvement, but I quite often use my psents gas hob and induction is definitely more responsive. Also much easier to clean.

It did take me a while to get used to the speed of an induction hob - I would put on water for pasta, and it would boil before I knew it. However my old electric solid plate Rangemaster was extremely slow, so you're much less likely to have a problem if you're switching from gas.

I also find I get much less hot and bothered when cooking - I used to find the kitchen got very hot when I was using the hob a lot, but the induction hob doesn't produce any heat. I recently read that lots of professional kitcens are switching from gas to induction hobs for that reason.

We're getting our kitchen done and now I'm convinced to get an induction hob - can I use my Le crueset pans on it?
