I've just found the most amazing space-saving outdoor washing line thingy

This could win an award for dullest thread of the year BUT I had to come on and rave. We haven't got room for a proper rotary airer and haven't got walls/fence panels to hang a decent washing line on. I've been dragging the indoor airer outside all the time, which is an arse - but I've just bought this for £15 in Argos, it's a foldable, portable outdoor rotary airer.

Small things in life obviously please me, but this is amazing. A full washing machine and it's barely filled half the airer! And when the washing is dry it's just going to fold into a little bag that can go in the cupboard.

I'm never excited about laundry. I am today Grin

Ooh! Reading this thread was fate! I was just thinking today how annoying it is that I've had to use my tumble dryer in such a lovely day.

Picking mine up in the morning - cheers, OP! :)

It's Amazing. I had 2 loads on there and I just moved it to a sunnier spot later in the day.

I am so middle aged and I don't even care. Grin

Thurlow · 02/06/2014 09:37

I don't even think I'm middle aged yet and can claim that! But yes, after years of living in flats and then not being able to get a washing line up when we finally did get a garden, I put kingsize sheets in the machine at 2pm, and by 8pm I was changing the bed! It was officially heaven. And being able to move it to a sunnier spot was fab.

How sad. But how wonderful Wink

Does it REALLY not blow over? Had one of these before - not Argos - and it was always toppling, so in the end we binned it. Have to go to Argos tomorrow so am hoping you'll convince me Grin

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 03/06/2014 13:51

Well i have mine out for the first time and i used the pegs to fix it to the ground. No toppling over (yet) and there is a good bit of wind here.

Thanks again for this OP. i really love it! Grin and my best friend saw it and is going to get one too!

Thurlow · 03/06/2014 14:00

I honestly want to tell the makers and get commission!

No sign of it blowing over yet, though I guess in really heavy wind it wouldn't be as good as a fixed washing line. But it's very wide and so feels very stable.

That's a friff of a lot if photos! Just in case no one was quite clear what to do with it? Wink

Have ordered ine though.

Friffing Mumsnet.

It's like a never ending Lakeland catalogue on here, isn't it?

Actually all my concreted in whirly lines kinked (the upright pole) with the wind whereas this thing , with 4 legs fixed to the ground is holding rightly. I am impressed.

Guys, we made the newsletter!

poocatcherchampion · 04/06/2014 19:56

is anyone else trying to ascertain how they might string up a net of wonder like that inside?

Thurlow · 04/06/2014 20:26

Huzzah!

I can't believe I'm saying this, because normally I don't give a shit, but why is the picture showing yellow and green items, a Brazil shirt and mens dress shirts??

Is this a special little half price thing for wifey, to keep her occupied for the next four weeks, whilst the hunter gatherer in her life watches football??

(Its a good thing though and I like it very much! Grin)

Doinmummy · 04/06/2014 20:41

It's out of stock here

Doinmummy · 04/06/2014 20:45

Looked on eBay , something similar is £30 !

Doinmummy · 04/06/2014 20:46

Someone find me one .....pleeeeeeease

ZenNudist · 04/06/2014 20:50

Just bought a new rotary but I want this instead, can put it away when not drying stuff though I'm always drying stuff

LumpySpacedPrincess · 04/06/2014 20:55

It folds up and it's just a thin stick.

Amazing.

Housemum · 04/06/2014 22:24

Sulking. Want one but not enough to make an hour+ round trip for the nearest one.

Meglet · 04/06/2014 22:40

and now I've read Housemums post I assume it's out of stock in our town .

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 04/06/2014 22:58

Out of stock in my town too.

fingersonbuzzers · 04/06/2014 23:05

I have a rotary airer on my lawn and two clothes airers in the spare room.

I don't even need this.

And yet, and yet, I've just reserved it in my local store.

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 04/06/2014 23:09
Grin

ElBombero · 04/06/2014 23:10
