How many loads of washing do you do per week?

Two adults, one office worker, one factory worker. Two children, one nursery, one school.

I end up doing 4-5 washes a week. Does this seem a lot to you? How many do you do a week for what sized family.

2 adults, 2 school children, I probably average 6-7 loads a week including towels and bedding fortnightly. That's another topic that causes great angst, how often do you change bedding & towels!

One and a half

Me and 5 year old.

Two adults, 2 children. OH works, I don't. 1-2 loads a day

There's only 2 adults here but we do 5-7 loads a week

3 adults, 2 school age children. 3-4 full loads a week.

Bedfing and towels alone 4 washes, plus a clothes wash a day at least, plus uniform for me. Family of 5. I get a lot of service washes

6 of us, we've got an extra large washing machine. I do at least 1 load a day, 3 today! Probably about 11 loads a week

1 adult, one school age son. I do 2 loads a week, this includes all bedding, towels, and all clothes. I have a 10kg A+++ washing machine though, it does take 3.5 hrs to do a cycle but it is bloody brilliant and extremely cheap to run.

Two adults, 3 kids aged 11-7, we do about 20 loads per week but our superking bedding is two of those, towels another 2-3 then at least two of swimming things. I can't understand how families can do just 5 loads per week!

We are 4 and do at least one per day, usually more.

Flossie, how often do you wash your sheets and towels? I only do towels once a week, ditto sheets.
