July's Fledgling Flyers: Summer holidays are on their way and the clutter is going to FLY away

Welcome old and new fledglings to the July Fledgling FLYers thread!

Thank you very much to cpmpy for leading us expertly through June- it's been a while since I lead so I can't promise to be as efficient but will do my best . This will start by copying and pasting pmpy's original June post

If you're overwhelmed by clutter and general household grub then join us as we (loosely) follow the step-by-step Flylady housekeeping system or languish in the naughty corner hoping to do better tomorrow

As usual, we will be following the Flylady three-pronged approach:

1. Baby-steps (a daily step to establish routines)
2. Then baby-steps + 15 mins daily decluttering
3. (And once decluttered) babysteps + daily missions and maybe even detailed cleaning in the weekly zones

For more information have a look here, although to avoid a cluttered inbox, we advise not signing up to the Flylady emails. The basic principle is little and often and don't worry about perfection (no chance of that here!).

Don't worry if you are behind; just jump right back in and it will all come around next month again anyway!

All the links for the babysteps and missions will be posted here every day and we'll all be here to cheer each other on and chat our way through the month

Morning all! Hi Saturn and Obrigada

I find I'm more productive washed, dressed and with my moisturiser & foundation on too(!!) But don't do the shoes as I'm always bollocking reminding DH to stop walking through house in his. Although I do feel more 'ready for action' not barefoot so I flipflop around in a pair of flipflops that I don't wear outside unless I run to garage

Very glad it's the main bedroom this week. Want to catch up on yesterdays routine though too. So far my TaDa's:
Breakfasts done, washload on, dishwasher emptied, bit of paperwork/bill sorted, bathroom swished & swiped, bag of clothes put in carboot to be donated.

Good morning.

I like getting dressed straight away. Loved the thunder storm this morning it was bloody brilliant. You should find the air this side of the hills a bit better Ellie Although there is rather a lot of rain going on which is going to skupper the clothes dying that I was considering.

Book appointment with the doc
Book an appointment with the dentist (if i am still registered it has been that long)
Try to sort out the stuff connected to the important info

I guess the question really must be why am i still on the computer? Best get some coffee and get cracking!

Off to gym now.

Good afternoon - late today!
Loving the crazy rain showers, but will stay inside if there is lightning involved as I've almost been struck twice before - I don't want it to be third time lucky if someone upstairs has got it in for me!!

Need to do a massive general house tidy and bed change - fresh bedding psychologically feels cooler! Also need to get my eldest to write his thank your to all his lovely teaching staff. Bathroom was clean when I left the house this morning, but a lot can change in a short space of time!!!

I'm soooo tired today! Yesterday's long walk on hot dusty roads must have done something to my old bones.

I took Children to sailing in a taxi and then I came back by Public transport. This life transforming stuff is proving v £. However they were v excited this morning to go back to the lovely lakeside, and behaved a bit better en route, actually conversing

Since getting back at 11am, I have done sod all, except drink Ginger beer and read the TES and Irish Times. Have to set off again in an hour or so [sob] Trying a different route today and getting off at Ruislip...There must be a free-ish way to get there which does not involve cars...

Dh has gone to British Library and I have enjoyed the downpour. Hope he escaped it.

Pondering flying is the best kind of flying trazzles and as it is Tuesday and planning day it counts as achieving the daily focus!!!

Erm Ellie just realised that I need to do the threads and links on sat and sunday anyway as it is August already. How the fuck did that happen?

Gym -didn't kill my arse today. Thought I would let aforementioned arse have a rest. Today my abs have died. Not that I am sure I actually have any abs so it should read.... my flab died...though that's a good thing surely.... have confused myself!

Got in car and set off 10 minutes ago.
Got irate (in my head ) with the mother because she does this irritating thing where if i say something to kids she repeats it milliseconds latwr
Got irate (in my head) with the mother's driving because she doesn't know how to use the fucking clutch and fucking bunny hops everywhere.
Opted for a nap

Unfortunately it is now incredibly muggy, sticky and horrible. Will be nice coast side/hill side should there be a breeze.

I have finally sat down to eat tea. It has been a bit busy. Will pop back with a ta da when i have put ds to bed after eating my tea.

Well, I have in my hand, but I definitely did mean a as I'm excited about our new Prince.

You can certainly talk on here! Haven't time to catch up right now, but day 2 and dressed to shoes as soon as I got up this morning and have shined sink tonight...so currently on track
