PA oh poor ds, and poor you, what a shock [sorry, didn't mean that
Something rang a bell there, and I've now remembered what it was,a completely reversed situation, where in Firm Mum mode I disconnected the telly with a screwdriver, whereupon ds2 jiggled some wires around, and plugged it back in [oh dear] because Firm Mum then reappeared, saw telly was on again, and pulled out from plug, giving herself a massive electric shock in process (as all the wires were hanging by a thread) It was awful, I felt like I'd been punched, and was extremely cross with my little darling for trying to outwit me. Anyway that taught me not to be Firm Mum for a while
I've been so tired this week and got absolutely nothing done whilst children at school, for some reason when they return I speed up
Loads of battles over homework, not exactly battles, just trying in vain to stop children giving up on it, when it is often quite easy, just requires a mite of application (rather like housework
Ds1 was doing something on "convection and conduction of heat", so there was Dh and I arguing about what category hotwater bottles fell into...let alone handwarmers, if they were one of those microwaveable liquid ones, rather than the kind filled with polysterene beads..
Other than that, I have got up very early every day, made packed lunches, found PE kit, keys, travel cards, been extremely cheery and on ball, then collapsed once kids are at school...
I did some voluntary work yest I suppose...and cooked a chicken, and watched DOWNTON on iplayer.
Oh yes, and Dh and I actually went out to dinner on Sunday with a friend, maybe that is why I am tired, social life
Whoknows you will manage, everything will just have to go a slower pace, you are so organised now, that it is bound to be easier later. Is dh going to step in for a few days? Or is that v difficult. If necessary you will have to suspend some of after school activities for children, if tht helped?
Toffee sorry about the recurrence of pneumonia, and you sound as if loads of HE is being done, you are being incredibly conscientious.
SC my favourite Italian is married to my friend, who is not at all elegant or slim, and typical product of the Home Counties ie: brave, energetic, clever, thoughtful, intellectual, excellent at every practical art, runs her own business. So not elegance is not the virtue every continental seeks! (I seek to reassure myself on this...however I suppose Germans don't count on that one, so maybe not in my case
