Does anyone want to play a game of sorts in working out where things should go based on where other people keep things?

For starters, in our house teatowels sit on top of the microwave and have done since we moved in 2 years ago for want of knowing where to put them. Where do teatowels go?

buggyrunner all your bras have one pair of matching pants. I have sooo many pairs of pants whose matching bras are a long way from fitting.

Hoover lives in the laundry room (posh, eh?), teaspoons in the cutlery drawer, kettle beside toaster, c

I just adjusted the shelf heights in one of my tall kitchen cupboards and all sizes of cereal packets live there. Likewise tall oil/squash bottles, but in another cupboard.

Kettle sits on the hob.

Hoover in the porch and ironing board in my built-in wardrobe (everything I iron is kept upstairs anyway).

Where do you keep coupons/money off vouchers? I never have enough room in my purse.

Oops - cereals in containers in deep cupboard, all underwear in one drawer - bit of a jumble?

My washing up liquid is under the sink with all the other cleaning stuff.

Vouchers go in a box by the front door, to be sorted through before each shopping trip.

Tall bottles of squash on the other end of the worktop to the cereal boxes, next to the chopping boards leaning vertically against the wall.

Kettle next to the sink.

Washing up liquid on windowsill.

Pants, bras (none matching )and everyday socks in one drawer, tights and walking/sports socks in another.

Where do the mugs go? Mine are on hooks, hung along a bar on the wall.

2. because I love any excuse to buy storage boxes

Tea towels go in the drawer under the dining table along with napkins (and bibs and ds's crayons ), new teaspoon every time, ironing board shoved between work top and fridge freezer, cereal boxes in the 'big' cupboard.

Where do your oven gloves go? I have mine in the 'everything else' drawer atm.

I use storage boxes all the time they come free with takeaways or margarine

Teatowels live in the placemat drawer in the dresser. Kettle lives on the hob.

Cereal is in the cereal cupboard - where else?

Ironing board in the futility room behind the cats basket. Hoover under the stairs.

Underwear us in my bedside cabinet, bras in the top drawer, knickers next, pyjamas at the bottom. Socks and tights in the drawers in my dressing room.

Oven gloves are on a hook (as are so many things in my house)

Kettle goes on the worktop between sink and cupboard containing tea/coffee/ mugs/biscuits. That was about the only thing that was obvious in our kitchen! Clean aprons and teatowels go in a basket (not enough drawers).

Vouchers are pinned on the kitchen pinboard beside the shopping list which gets added to as we go along.

As a recent innovation, tights now go on an Ikea tie-organiser in the wardrobe (lots of fabric circles joined together). Frees up acres of space in the drawers but only takes up the space of one coat-hanger in the wardrobe. I have around 20 pairs of tights looped on to it, now readily accessible.

Pants in top drawer, bras in 2nd, socks in 3rd. Mind you I have 2 chests of drawers for my clothes.

Where do chopping boards go please?

Oven gloves hang over the oven handle, spare ones in the cleaning cupboard.

I have understair cupboard envy - mine is outside the house and must have been a coal shed at one time (?) It's now used for storing lawnmower, paint tins and other associated stuff.

Chopping boards go in the drawer under the oven, along with oven tins and casserole dishes.

fiveflowers I got builders to brick up the "outside" door of our understairs space and knock a door through in the hallway. I also got a light put in, it's a very useful space, didn't cost much to convert.

Might consider the hook for oven gloves, over the oven handle isn't an option as ds just pulls everything down so they would just live on the floor. Have aprons and shopping bag on a hook so alongside that I suppose.

Chopping boards go in between the cooker and the slow cooker. Big cereal boxes go in the cupboard under the cooker with the roasting tins. Tall bottles of squash or oil also go in here. Tea towels go in the tea towels drawer. The hoover goes wherever it was last used!

Ironing board under sofa is very good idea!

Chopping boards go in a cupboard under the work surface but then they jump out at you every time you open the door which is not ideal.

Where do the children's finished junk modelling projects go? Or, how long do I have to wait until I bin them?

Love the chopping boards; I've always wondered where they go.

Shopping vouchers go in a plastic pouch in changing bag so I can rifle through them at the till
