my tumble dryer died a noisy death tonight (i know i know)
i have a small garden and i really don't want a washing line/rotary dryer but was thinking of getting a plastic clothes horse and finding somewhere in the garden for it to stand
does anyone do this and does it work

thanks

If you have room I can certainly recommend the pulley airers. I bought one a few months ago for the utility room and its fantastic.

Things dry really quickly as obviously heat rises and you have the added bonus of it not being in your way or taking up floor space.

If I'm putting my clothes horse outside I put 2 tent hooks into the ground to keep it upright. Mine was forever being blown over and my mum suggested it.

Drying clothes outside is so nice - how can you not want to? I feel happy watching my washing blowing around outside! [saddo]

I have two. Am really weird about laundry, there is a system, it has to be stuck to, no excuses. Wash laundry, hang on airer, next day put folded in airing cupboard, next day put away or in ironing basket.

Yes, Norbert.

The good thing about pulley airers is that they are never in the way (except for in the five minutes in which you are actually loading and unloading them.

Up until last year I had a clothes horse, but a pulley airer is 100 times better.
