Hi Cat!
Previously, before I did anything, I would sit down with a cup of coffee and think that once it kicked in I would get on and do stuff, but then I would get watching TV or Facebook, MN and the day would disappear and I couldn't be bothered getting up an going, apart from playing with DS
Now, in the mornings, I make DS his breakfast and while he is eating I make myself a cup of coffee and drink it as I clean the kitchen from the night before (there is never enough time in the evenings to clean up from dinner apart from load the dishwasher)
I then play with him for a while and then he has his nap. He used to only sleep on me so I was pinned to the sofa but now I rock him to sleep in his pushchair and then I do some more cleaning and tidying and then if there is time, baking.
I love baking but I only do it now once I have done enough housework so it's a reward for myself and it spurs me on while I am tidying to think I can make lots of nice goodies after.
Today I made the muffins first and once my son had woken from his nap and eating one or two three for his lunch I got on with the oatcakes, eating my lunch as I made them.
I used to get so pissed off with the messy chaos but couldn't find the time to do any more than the basics, now I find by not sitting down until I have got my chores done and using the reward of baking to motivate myself I am getting a lot more done. And having the house nice and clean and tidy then motivates me to keep on top of it as it looks so lovely
