Oh Long it is a difficult stage isn't it. Cats will sympathise I am sure as she has recently been through the same thing. I am sure that once you have gone she is quite happy though. They seem to know it is hard for us too.

carrotsandcelery · 20/04/2012 13:53

Ta Das:

wm emptied and hung
ebay fancy dress in on delicate wash now
goulash in slow cooker and rice ready to cook when we get in
lunch made

CatsSleepAnywhere · 20/04/2012 14:38

Ta da's:

breakfast
get dressed
made beds
DC to school/nursery
dropped off car for MOT
came home, did shopping list
went shopping
came home with shopping
picked up DD from nursery
picked up car from garage
did a bit more shopping
came home had lunch
MNetted
1 x wash up
wiped down worktops
put cardboard in recycling bag

Josie It is a difficult time if they don't seem happy when you leave them at nursery. I have often had to leave DD in tears and when I phone later, she is fine. Smile

Longtalljosie · 20/04/2012 15:47

When I phoned, I could hear her crying and saying "where's Mummy gone?" Sad

And they say she was better than yesterday so I shudder to think what yesterday was like!

More ta das...

Swept and steam mopped kitchen floor
Threw out a bag of clutter from spare room cupboard. I seem to have a lot of Christmas wrapping paper in there!

CatsSleepAnywhere · 20/04/2012 16:13

Aww josie how old is she?

How long has she been going to nursery?

Mine started in January, she is 3.5

More ta da's:

cleared front room floor of toys and hoovered
got DH to move out sofa and I hoovered where that was
then replaced some of the toys.

OP posts:
WisteriaWoman · 20/04/2012 19:21

Ta das....
Cleaned kitchen before 7am
2 loads x washing
Ironing
Been to work, and taken dd on playmate
Bought a bike and organised its repair
Done supper
Drunk 2 big glasses of wine Grin and gazed at all the dust gathering on furniture due to being away for past week. Confused
Have written BIG "to do" list for weekend...Hmm

carrotsandcelery · 20/04/2012 19:46

Long Sad I feel for you. She has to learn that you will come back and then she will find it easier but it must be very upsetting. ((((hugs))))

I recommend doing lots of flying while she is in nursery to distract yourself Grin

Cats sounds like a good job done.

Wisteria well done, especially on the Wine Grin

Ta das:

bin out and squeezed into already over full wheelie bin
fancy dress outfit hung to dry and another one put in to wash
made dd a bracelet (with no clasp as it hasn't arrived yet)
got very mucky up at the stables Grin
picked up ds from my dparents (dmum had made us a chocolate cake - RESULT!

Have you any wine left Wisteria?

Longtalljosie · 21/04/2012 08:57

She's 2.8... She goes to a CM when I work Mon and Tues but that's just with one other child and I'd like her to get used to larger groups. She'll hopefully be starting preschool just as the baby is born and I think that's too many big changes all in September and will lead to her feeling rejected. So we're doing a morning and an afternoon at nursery to get her into the swing of things. This was just our first week so I guess I have to give it time.

Ta das this morning restricted to unloading the dishwasher and putting mine and DD's breakfast things in it. It's DH's turn for the lie-in but he has three minutes to go!

CamperWidow · 21/04/2012 10:09

Carrots Edward Bear is just the name of the mother and toddler group at the Church in town. Nothing amazing! Well, it is to Lollipop as they ring the Church bells and light candles for people and blow them out and then play and get snack, so a good morning as far as she's concerned!

Ta Das:
Millie in her cot!!!!! (sorry! Grin)
up and dressed
beds made
sink shiny
bathroom swish and swipe
what's for tea - whatever I bloody well feel like as it's just me! :)
40 mins exercise
15 min room rescue in living room
washing load done
clothes away
breakfasted
2 glasses of water - need to keep doing this
checked calender

To Do:
go to Derby with parents to pick up World Book Night books
sort out nursery
sort out dining room
sort out bedroom
another wash
post book to brother

carrotsandcelery · 21/04/2012 10:35

Your plan makes sense Long (why have I always called you that rather than Josie?) She will just need time. It's not easy though and it is one she has to learn by herself (as in one you can't do for her - not that she will be alone). A lot of parenting seems to be teaching them to cope without you doesn't it? Hmm

Camper good list! I am Shock for a Saturday morning.

Ta Das:

Been extremely grumpy and unpleasant to be around
guinea pigs cleaned out
windowsill dusted and washed
kitchen half hoovered and hallway hoovered - both look hairy again so Twilight clearly needs a brush
dw unloaded and reloaded and on
lots of irritating clutter created by dcs rehomed (ie put away)
washed and dressed
dd sorted out for day out with friend

It doesn't sound like much. It has been grumpy and shouty and horrid.

Longtalljosie · 21/04/2012 20:49

It sure does carrots. I suppose I'm feeling guilty as I get a lot out of the morning and afternoon!

carrotsandcelery · 21/04/2012 21:50

I don't think there is anything to feel guilty about there. You will be a much better mum to her if you have had some time to do other things too. A constantly present mum doesn't necessarily equate with a good mum iykwim.

carrotsandcelery · 22/04/2012 17:48

Ta Das:

washed and dressed eventually
made a bracelet
showed dd how to make a bracelet
muffins baked
top up shop
wm on
dw loaded
worktops cleaned
pile of stuff up the loft finally
kitchen table fully decluttered eventually -dcs helped
hallway hoovered - dh
dd & dh's ironing done - dd & dh
oven warming for tonight's tea
constant checking of ebay as loads of listings ending tonight Grin

carrotsandcelery · 23/04/2012 08:08

Morning all!

Ta Das:

washed and dressed
dcs breakfasted
dw loaded and on
wash hung
wm on again
ds's lunch and snacks made
worktops cleaned

Can I go back to sleep now?

Scout19075 · 23/04/2012 09:07

Prepare 3 lessons (done 1)
Teach 3 lessons
Update finances (again)
re-arrange 2 mail deliveries ( Why do they always call when I am out?)
rearrange another mail delivery that aparently they tried to deliver today, even though I've been in all day! (still we are having cavity wall insulation done which involves lots of loud drilling so I may not have heard buzzer!)
