Our Bosch has died after only 5 years. We are not impressed. We need to replace it and are sort of feeling that buying the cheapes eg Indesit might be worth it as the most expensive didnt last so surely worth paying less if have to replace anyway? Which have you bought recently and which brands would you recommend as great value for money?

when you say it died, do you mean the motor burned out? Or it got a leak and lost refrigerant? Not much else to go severely wrong with a FF

Frost-Frees are more troublesome as they are more complicated, but most often it is an ice blockage in the air duct that can easily be cleared by a long manual defrost. I didn't find that out until I'd thrown away an FF that didn't get cold enough.
