How much do you spend on weekly shopping?

I'm amazed how much I spend each week. We are just 2 adults and one baby! What do other people spend weekly on food? I'm wondering what's average.

Between £40-£60 on an expensive week.

How much do you spend?

I spend £80-£100 a week for 2 adults, one 7 year old, one 5 year old and a dog.

I would like to be able to spend less .

About £120 for two adults and three children. Includes all packed lunch stuff, milk, bread and so on though.... (tries to make self feel better about large supermarket bill)

Oh and it includes nappies for the baby, cleaning stuff and everything else.

On a (very)good week £50 and a bad one £100 for 2 adults, 2 children & 2 cats. I must spend more on bits & bots though. Can never seem to spend less, lots seems to go on packed lunches and they seem to eat LOADS at the weekends.

Are we talking just food, or aLL SHOPPING FOR THE WEEK?

I spend about £120 on 2 of the weeks, and about £70 pounds the other 2 weeks. That's a rough estimate. Some weeks it is £160 although that's unusual. This includes cleaning products, baby milk and wine though. I'm not sure how much of it is food alone so I suppose I should check my receipts to work it out. Am not orgnised enough!

Spend about £30 a week in Aldi (ours does free range atc too now) and get all tinned/cleaning stuff in homebargains, spend about £29 in there, that includes candles, cat food, litter etc

For me, dp, dd 12 and ds 9

Wish we had a chinese/Asian store

Spend approx £45 per week inc delivery (no car) for all food, drink, toiletries etc for two adults plus a cat plus frequent stray humans.

Additionally, spend about £15 a week on takeaway and will spend an extra £15-£25 for a dinner party; spend about £12 a quarter on cleaning products, and £67.20 a quarter on apple and blackcurrant cordial (inorite).

started to shop at Aldi and as apocalypse says gotta eat up the veg as it doesnt last too long.
cleaning stuff from home bargains, about £20 a month.
nip to Asda once a onth for cheepo loo rolls and fruit juice that ds likes.

keep a very very tight reign on it all.

Also make double portions and freeze half for a free meal the week after.

we have a take away treat once a month, but as this can eat up 1/3 of my weeks budget, it must be a real treat for us all.

About £120 a week for me, DH and DC (2 DS 17 and 11, 2 DDs 14 4) including all food, cleaning stuff, packed lunches plus special stuff for DD1 who has a dairy allergy.

I spend around £50 a week for the two of us plus pets, but that's all shopping, and includes a few treats (no alcohol).
I don't live near an Aldi/Lidl but do an online shop once a month to stock up.
I live in a small town and pay the price for it.
Treats would be crisps/ready meals (such as a pizza), a box of cream cakes, cashew nuts, nicer than usual shower gel etc, nothing that fancy.

About £100 a week for 2 adults and 1 toddler. That includes all cleaning products, loo roll etc, but very few toiletries and no wine. We use cloth nappies at home but disposables when out or away so maybe £5 a week of that is nappies?

My freezer is groaning atm though, so I'm expecting to spend less than that for the next month or so while we use some things up.

Right, I'm going to start menu-planning too. That seems to be the way to go. Not near an Aldi sadly. Any other tips for minimising cost apart from menu-planning? How do you do it? It looks like I'm spending more than average.

£200 a week, for 6 , feeding 4 teens.
this is 3 meals a day, cleaning stuff and bathroom stuff.
i meal plan, and have to catter for food allergies,and a teen veggie.

would love to get this smaller.....in fact need to....
