Considering home ed with stressed ds

My ds started primary school 2 weeks ago,it’s a lovely school but he had to go full time from the off because they don’t do half days.Since he started school he has been extremely anxious and behaviour terrible. He kicks and screams on the way in and all weekend was asking if he had to go back and crying over it.

It’s early days but I’m not concerned how stressed he isn’t and am considering home educating.Im worried about how to deregister him though because I imagine the school will be hostile to it,my family are also dead against it.Ds is intelligent and sensitive so I do think he’d do well home ed,I just would like advice from people on the process of going home ed and how I can prove that my ds is getting an education if I’m asked to prove it.

id take him out and reconsider next year if hes this anxious and you would have someone at home anyway. Hes still a baby. Get involved in your local home ed community and you might find its the way forward and want to do that from now on, or he might want to try school in the future

He’s slighty better but still missing me a lot and isn’t drinking or eating much during the day.I find the pastoral side of things very lacking and I feel like a fussy mummy reminding school to check he’s eating lunch.Everyday he says he doesn’t want to go to school, when I ask why it’s because he misses me.Theres also a bossy boy in his class who ds is very stressed by.

I feel I should try a bit longer to see if he settles but it’s very hard.

I’m rubbish at english and maths so would struggle to home ed him but it’s definitely still on the table.

💐 to all those in the same position,it is so hard seeing them so upset.
