In the vast majority of areas, in-school music tuition at an individual or small group level is carried out by self-employed music teachers who use the school's premises to conduct their business. Centrally-contracted peripatetic music teachers, if they exist at all, tend to teach whole class groups.
Therefore, if you are moving to a new area, the best thing to do is to try to locate a private music teacher, and to see if the LA does music hire (the cost is sometimes a little higher for those not attending LA schools - when I hired an instrument for DD to learn at her secondary school, an academy, it was more expensive than when she was at her primary school, which was LA controllled).
The Music Hub system is meant to help to signpost you to what is available in your area. Google 'your new county + music hub' and see what comes up. It may also link you to various music groups, which can be an excellent way of making music with others - DS, who started with in-school instrument tuition with 3 other pupils, now spends 10+ hours a week rehearsing with assorted county-level music ensembles, up to a very high level, having first accessed music groups when he was quite a beginner).
PM me if you like, with the area you are interested in, and I can have a bit of a dig around - some Music Hubs are easier to access than others.
