Sorry OP. I don't feel as strongly about it as some on this thread. It cute but not classy. It's made me think I should go into lampshade design.

Very much! I’ve always wanted one of those coffee tables that’s a slice of wood too.

The tree above the hedgehog looks more like seaweed to me and that's more appropriate to the background colouring imo.

There's something off about the scale of the base to the shade as well.

Love that you love it though op, the world would be a dull place if we all liked the same stuff.

Not for me personally, but I love homes with character that reflect their occupant's personality and likes, instead of boring greige. I'm sure I'd love it in your home.

Brilliant response, thank you! I don't know why its trending because I thought I had chosen a bit of a "quiet" wee corner to post...I haven't even poked about here...anyway the reason I asked about it was that I'm not sure!

I don't like it, but my taste is more eclectic/ antique leaning and my lamps/lampshades are more colourful, quirky and reflect my personality.

However, if you love it @SereneGoose that's all that matters!

I came across the Lush Designs shop in Greenwich when I was shopping for my new flat. I loved their shades & also that it was an independent business run by women so I bought several.

I’d have preferred it without the hedgehog - it looks like one of those mad cartoons where it’s been irradiated by aliens and is now the size of house and stalking the countryside with menace.

Having said that, your question made me look at my own lamps and they’re boring AF so good for you for having interesting and unusual decor choices.

I love the shade - colour & pattern! I’d probably choose a different base though.

I thought i didn't like it but actually I do like the design.

the "problem" is the colour... the blue is jarring imo if it were more "natural" green / brown/ beige it would be a lot nicer imo..
