Slightly cramped superking or stick with king?

I need to make a decision about a new spare room bed- the room is 320cm wide so technically I could get a superking in there plus small bedside cabinets, or use wall mounted shelf-style ones. But it will look a little cramped IMO, although plenty of room around foot of bed (120cm between foot and fitted wardrobes). Or I could just get a king which would likely be a better fit/ look more in proportion. So it's a trade off between aesthetics and guest comfort as imagine most of my friends would prefer SK from a sleep perspective.

WWYD oh wise mumsnetters??

I cant put the bed the other way because of the radiator, window and sloping ceilings.

Just got with king. I wouldnt expect a SK guest bed

King is fine. I hate it when you have no room around the bed to move. Also, if there’s no space, where will people put their bags etc.

IVe gone with a king size bed in my small master bedroom - which does sideways, so the width of the room. Then I have the tv mounted on the wall, at the foot of the bed

then I have ikea besta units mounted on the wall to the side of the bed, with 1m of space between them

if I would’ve gone super king I would’ve 🤷‍♀️

Not a fan of big beds at all. Dh and I are spooners and are always relieved to get back home to our double. Nothing worse than turning over for a sleepy snuggle and having to cross half an acre of cold sheets to find each other.

See I don’t get that. I have a super king to myself, if i stretch out my arms then i can virtually touch either edge
people talk about getting lost like it’s 10ft wide!

For a guest room I would go king. Still plenty big enough but also gives guests more room to put their bags etc.

King size for guest room. You don't want them having nowhere to put their bags and it's awful having no space for getting changed as a guest so I'd want more space around the bed. DH is off the large rugby playing build and we'd be perfectly comfortable in a king size. We have a super king and our 3 year old has a standard double (his bed goes in an alcove and it fits perfectly so that's what we got him) and we recently had to sleep in it due to a very full house. It was like a comedy sketch, I would not want to be sleeping in a bed that size every night.

Decision made: king for the win.

Thanks for all the input- a few things I hadn't actually considered (like will the mattress fit around the corners? ) and it will be good to have extra space for bags and general moving around. We do have both lots of bedding so that's not really an issue (I actually need to do a ruthless cull). We already have a KS frame for that room (needs a new mattress) but I was considering giving that to DS and getting a SK for the spare but not doing that now.
