Hiya all,

Please could I get your recommendations on where to buy the following luxury no budget necessary :

Bedding
Towels
Robe
Slippers
Pjamas
Throws
Pillows and rugs

Thank you :D also if you were moving into your first bought home with unlimited money what would be 1 thing you would buy :)

White Company bedding is lush and lasts ages. I usually buy in the sale as I can't bring myself to pay silly prices for a pillowcase. They sell most of the other things on your list too.

motogogo · 05/07/2021 13:17

For towels, throws, robes and bedding use a hotel supplier, the one I bought from supplies the ritz!

For pillows I would suggest dunelm, they have excellent ones for a price (and cheap stuff) for rugs we use an importer as they are hand made Persian style (Pakistani actually).

Can't help with pj's, hate nightwear

Eviethyme · 05/07/2021 14:40

Thank you all :D yeah I'm thinking i will definitely need help. I also hate pj's @motogogo but I wear them in the evening in case any unwelcome guests ;) haha

It's exciting doing all this but also very overwhelming :D I'm loving a few suggestions I've had and have bookmarked them! Also found a gorgeous white and gold jumpsuit from one suggestion so that's a bonus 😂

@lop124 I must admit even though I could have no budget like spend 10k on a pillowcase... I just won't haha I've seen some beautiful types for the lower end of luxury. If I saw something mindblowing for that price then fair enough BUT I think I'll stick to the cheaper side of it, I've seen a lovely bedding set for £380 but think I'll wait and get some ideas together and reach out to a designer to make sure I get everything matching as I'm not the best 😅

Been loving these recommendations though, been shopping for hours and bought a few pieces that I did love haha

Op also try the amara website.

excelledyourself · 05/07/2021 23:47

@DogsSausages how did you find it? Those aren't even all pics of the same house?

Which one is it @Eviethyme?

lockef · 06/07/2021 07:11

Oka

Bluntness100 · 06/07/2021 07:14

Isn’t that three different houses?

HollowTalk · 06/07/2021 07:19

I thought that, too. Are you daydreaming, OP, or have you had a big win?

Naaaaah · 06/07/2021 07:22

It's too early for all this.

HasaDigaEebowai · 06/07/2021 08:08

To be fair the Op did say she was providing g the pictures to give an idea of the style of the house. She didn’t say this is my house.

BellyFlipFlop · 06/07/2021 08:30

If you have won the lottery please get some professional advice. Please do not tell people your budget is unlimited, you'll be skint again quickly.

£162,300 for a BED??? Shock

burritofan · 06/07/2021 08:43

Trouva is great – rounds up independent boutiques from around the country so you can browse lots of tiny artisan things at once.

I’d get a subscription to a few interiors mags tbh – LivingEtc, Homes & Gardens, Country Living – and post-it the things you like; they’re really good for identifying all the brands used when shooting a house, even on upholstery fabrics and walls, as well as shopping pages.

ShirleyPhallus · 06/07/2021 08:50

Ha ha ha

Seesawmummadaw · 06/07/2021 08:56

Haha

SalaciousCrumble · 06/07/2021 08:58

Alexandra Tolstoy has some lovely antique furniture for sale and Susan Deliss ships over beautiful Central Asian crafts and antiques. If you're really 'no budget' you need an interior designer. I hear Lulu Lytle will help you spend plenty!

sansucre · 06/07/2021 09:01

@Feckauras

Also if money was no object I’d get a few classic designer chairs like Charles and Ray Eames lounge chair and ottoman etc from Vitra. I would also get a few good quality mid century vintage pieces of furniture, brands like G Plan and Macintosh.
If you're mentioning Eames, it seems silly not to moot Artek, Knoll, Carl Hansen/Hans Wegner and Fritz Hansen/Arne Jacobsen at the very least. Their furniture is just as covetable and maybe not as ubiquitous. If money no object and you have time to look for original pieces - Finn Juhl and Børge Mogensen. As for lighting, Louis Poulsen. However, Eames et al only really works for those who like the Scandi/mid-centruy aesthetic.

OP! For bedding and towels, Frette, all the way.

Not a fan of Hastens beds. Personally, whatever beds/mattresses they have in The Stafford, buy one of those! Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

ElizabethTudor · 06/07/2021 09:02

@ShirleyPhallus @Seesawmummadaw hahaha

sansucre · 06/07/2021 09:03

@Eviethyme

It's like.. Cottage but not like small thatched cottage style
If this is the kind of style you like, worth looking at Designer's Guild as a starter.
snygghygge · 06/07/2021 09:14

For bedding and towels Frette or Geismar. Furniture I would probably go original Danish classics - check out www.klassik.dk to get an idea!

Tightwad2020 · 06/07/2021 12:42

ooh, what a great problem to have. OP, echo others here who are suggesting getting an interior designer to help. I think you should get yourself onto the House and Garden website immediately, and check out their listings. THey feature lots of houses that look rather like the one you posted. The Great Indoors is a really nice podcast and I like Kate Watson-Smythe's blog Mad About the House - those together will give you lots of ideas and sources.

Beata Heumann is a fashionable designer, great with colour, ditto Laura Jackson.

For your immediate question on naice bedlinen - I like Heals and Secret Linen Store. SCP used to do great blankets and rugs, haven't looked in a while, though.

If you like mid-century lighting and want to flash the cash, have a look at Skinflint - reclaimed originals, absolutely gorgeous and wayyy out of my range. Holloways of Ludlow have a vast range of lighting. Don't forget the switches! - Forbes & Lomax, Corston Architectural, Elesa.

And then come back and show us the photos! Have fun, sounds fab.

JaninaDuszejko · 06/07/2021 13:39

Dowsing & Reynolds for lights and switches and handles. Love their stuff, gorgeous quality.

Now trying to decide where to put a skinflint light. For vintage and antiques vinterior.com is a great place to look, they have an excellent search facility so you can look at only the things that are small enough to fit into that odd size alcove or the right period/style/designer/material.

Atalune · 06/07/2021 13:45
