Grey paint disaster

I’m having an absolute nightmare trying to choose a grey paint for my bedroom. I’ve tried about 20 different samples now and nothing is right, it’s either too dark or too light or too purple or too blue, my room is north facing too which doesn’t help.
I have decided that I want a colour that is lighter than dulux chic shadow but darker than dulux polished pebble, can anyone help? Even if it’s not by dulux, I’m open to suggestions! I have tried goose down but it’s too blue/cool and it seems a bit depressing in a dark room. Grateful for anyone’s help!

I had this problem recently with blue which I was certain I wanted for the dining room, many many testers later I tried a green instead and it looks great.
If you can't find the right grey maybe grey is not the right colour

Crown Smoked Glass

Definitely more greige, it's a very neutral/warm tone. East facing lounge (afternoon sun) and it feels very calm and cosy with it.

I have Farrow and Ball Cornforth White in a north-facing bedroom, it might be a bit light for you but it looks good (to me!)

We used Colours (B&Q own brand, I think) light rain which is very grey in a pretty dull north facing hallway.

We have a north facing hall, stairs and landing. The hall is pretty much another living room as it's an Edwardian house. I went through stacks of testers to find a light, neutral colour to replace the previous owners' eclectic colour choice - greys, greiges, beiges and came to the conclusion what I had thought would work just didn't.

We are going for a yellow/gold wallpaper instead. Not something I would normally be drawn to, but it really works. With a room that is quite dark I think you either have to embrace that and go dark/dramatic/cosy or think differently about what will lift the gloom.

@JMRules

LG Rolling Fog. Have used it in four rooms, all aspects, all sizes. A fabulous warm grey that suits any light and decor.
I've used L&G Rolling Fog in my sitting room. It's a lovely warm griege.

EVERY grey paint belongs to an identifiable Hue Family. We know we do because we can measure the colours.

Greys are near neutral colours. They are weak. They have little colour of their own to stand up to bossy lighting situations.

That’s why there’s so much discussion.

If you change the light, you change the colour.

One person’s true grey - looks green in another room and positively blue in a 3rd!

Near neutral colours in particular really do need testing in your space, with your available light quality - just so there are no surprises,,

Dulux Dusted Moss 2? (Or the shades either side of it) I have it in a hallway and spent ages getting the grey I wanted - it's a true grey with no red/blue undertones - so works well in North facing spaces.
