Do you live in: Addlestone, Weybridge, Shepperton or ByFleet? Please can you suggest places (indoor and outdoor) to visit with two under 5's. Best parks in the area? Museums? Places of historic interest?
Any suggestions much appreciated.

Woking Pool in the Park (Leisure Centre) has toddler splash sessions Mon, wed, Fri (and Sun) mornings - the pool itself is a leisure lagoon and outside there is a play park. Parking is free.

Bockett's farm near Leatherhead is good.

We do a lot of walking in Virginia Water into Windsor Great Park - the Valley gardens are lovely at this time with all the rhodies and azaleas - DS (n17mo) had a great time running around and admiring the "pitty" flowers.

Addlestone itself has a small park; good for ball games in the field area and an ok children's play area (not up to the standard of Webridge park but never mind)

We also do the walk to Coxes Lock and the Mill pond quite a lot, to see the ducks/swans/geese and the barges in the lock.

There is also the Cockrow miniature steam train place but that is only open the first sunday each month, iirc. Not much use during the week.

you could always join the RHS and go to Wisley (near Byfleet) - I'm pretty sure under 5s are free entry, and one adult pass admits another adult for free. Tis only gardens really but again, DS likes it, and he likes the hothouse too (laid out like the more adventurous Kew hothouses). Plus you can buy fruit and veg there in season, fresh picked that day.

There's a public footpath running through Wisley

Map here:

Park where the P is with the arrow.

Cross the road, take the footpath that leads to the River Wey. Goes through Wisley gardens.

Wisley Common is also quite nice, there are rare cattle and you can visit the Semaphore Tower.

In season, the pick your own farm at New Haw is great. Pick some, eat some - they don't seem to mind. www.crockfordbridgefarm.co.uk/aaw/websites/crockfordbridgefarm/crockfordbridgefarm_pick_your_own.htm

It's an easy walk from Weybridge:

www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=505806&Y=164071&A=Y&Z=115 - from Weybridge proceed along the Wey navigation to Mill Pond, and then cross the navigation and follow the path around to the farm.

Goldsworth playground has indeed been recently upgraded. It's not wonderful though. It's nice in that it's next to the lake.

From Fairoaks airport, you can walk to the McLaren facility and try to peer at the F1 cars through the windows. www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=501247&Y=161773&A=Y&Z=115
From McLaren you can walk to Horsell Common, with its sandpit.

For any child with a bicycle, Brooklands Community Park is exceptional. Nearly adjacent is Mercedes Benz World, which is free, and usually has cars going round very fast outside.
