Eurostar Parking

Hello, I hate flying so like to catch Eurostar to my holiday destinations where I can. I have to drive from Wales and I am looking for easy places that are not to expensive to park. I want to park for 2/3 nights in a secure car park. Ideally, I’d like it where I can walk to the Eurostar station or maybe catch a direct tube (under 30 minutes.) In the past we’ve stayed overnight in London but this is a trip to Amsterdam that I’d like to do as cheaply as possible
has anyone got any parking recommendations at all??

Book the overnight ferry from Harwich to the Hook of Holland.
We've driven from Bristol to Harwich in the afternoon. Boarded the ferry as soon as we are allowed to and enjoyed a meal and a few drinks before going to our cabin.
(Just be aware that the tannoy goes off around 5.30am telling you to return to your vehicle ).

Eurostar trains haven’t stopped at Ebbsfleet for years. So this advice is also out of date.

Id second the train op.

You are right that Eurostar hasn’t called at Ebbsfleet since the pandemic. They have let a lot of people down badly. But the (costly and time consuming) advice up thread was not to catch Eurostar from Ebbsfleet but to get the train from Ebbsfleet to St P and then catch the Eurostar.

Parking in the Kings Cross area is likely to cost around £40 for 24 hours.

To be honest, the advice from some on here would be prohibitive in price for most people. Even if the OP has to drive to a Welsh station and park there, train is really the best option.

Actually @MrsMoastyToasty’s suggestion of the Harwich ferry is a great one. Cheapest way to do it is to leave the car at harwich and go on as foot passengers then catch the train to Amsterdam or somewhere much nicer in the Netherlands

I infer the OP has already booked the Eurostar though.

I agree the Ebbsfleet advice was to catch a train from there to St P rather than picking up the Eurostar there. It's not a great idea tho IMHO as its such a long way from Wales and a PITA right round the M25 - why would you? there are much nearer options.

The suggestions of Hounslow or Uxbridge and then tube are good (and the western equiv of my M1 to Cockfosters, which we do often, as the trains home don't run late enough for an evening at the Proms). £9-10 a day so pretty cheap even for 3-4 days. Not secure tho (whatever that means) but really, unless you are driving a Ferrari, I wouldn't worry about that.

Or yes drive to a station in Wales and get the train to Paddington then Circle line round to St P. The only situation where I would drive tbh is a) as noted above, my event finishes at 10.30 and I've missed the last train or b) as we had on Sunday, four of us going to London so actually the car is cheaper than the train. For one or two people the train will be cheaper, faster, easier.
