Would you recommend Eurocamp?

I'm trying to find a hotel for next June for 2 adults and a nearly 2 year old but I can't find anything that fits the bill so I'm now looking at Eurocamps in Italy or Croatia.

We don't want to visit Spain/Portugal and want a flight less than 4 hours. Greece would have been our first choice but can't find anything in Corfu/Zante and Kos/Crete/Rhodes are too far.

We like all the kids facilities, park, mini disco, splash area etc but don't want an all inclusive hotel as we prefer to eat out and have a wander. We also need a 1 bedroom apartments. I've struggled to find any hotels that cover this so now looking at Eurocamps if anyone can recommend a site?

I haven't been to any eurocamps in Italy or Croatia but we were pricing one up in Croatia and were put off by reviews that said you have to pay extra every time you use the swimming pool! Make sure you check before you book.

It’s a while since we went but I would recommend Bella Italia on the shores of Lake Garda. I’ve just looked it up and it’s still available on their website. We flew to Verona and hired a car which was very easy. We stayed 2 years in the trot - I think the site has bungalows as well as static caravans. You can stroll into the local town of Peschiera for dinner along the lakeside

Agree with @peppermumBella Italia is lovely!

Bella Italia always gets good reviews. I really liked Union Lido, which is an easy transfer from Venice or Treviso and has a lot of different food options. Porto Felice has also been recommended to me. But no so easy for wandering out to restaurants. When dd was little we went to Sardinia to Cala di Falco - short transfer from Olbia airport. https://www.hotelcaladifalco.com/en/
We had a 1 bed apartment with a kitchenette but you can book various board options. We did breakfast / lunch on site quite a bit, with the occasional dinner, but the small town is about 10 mins walk with various restaurants. Pools, small play area, opposite the beach. We just came back from TUI Magic Life in Calabria, which is again outside town, but food was lovely, family rooms available, big splash park.

Elegant 4 * superior hotel for your seaside holidays in Sardinia. Personalize your holiday and choose between hotel, residence or private villa.

Another vote for Bella Italia! It meets all of those requirements.
Eurocamp accommodation is generally "cheap and cheerful" - don't expect luxury, but it's decent, clean and inexpensive generally especially outside of school holidays.

Clearinguptheclutter · 30/09/2025 20:38

eurocamp website is a good starting point but you can get a better deal and better choice of accomodation by booking direct

I think the main perk about going via eurocamp is that some have their “Brits only” kids clubs. Not many do tho.

If France is an option check out the Yelloh Village website

We have been to Weekend Glamping in Lake Garda (booked through Canvas holidays) and more recently Hu Openair Montescudaio, along the Tuscan coast. Would highly recommend both!

Thank you all! Bella Italia is currently our favourite

Eurocamp style holidays are brilliant, we first took DC1 aged 2 to a site in Tuscany (will try and remember name) and we still holiday like this most years now we have 3DC and eldest now 11. So much for kids to do without the faff of getting them off site.

FraterculaArctica · 01/10/2025 18:55

It was Valle Gaia in Tuscany we went to. We also had an amazing day trip to Elba from there, and I'd love to go back and stay at the Rosselba la Palme site.

I actually don’t think it’s that cheap it was £3 for a week in Italy with flights and food on top but it’s a different holiday very beautiful

£3 seems cheap 😅

Honestly, if you’ve paid £3k for Bella Italia you’ve been ripped off.

OP if you love Greece then don’t write it off, especially while the kid is still free! It’s not that long a flight!

We are happy eurocampers, been going for decades. Started when DCs were quite small and we needed something which would give us enough bedrooms but wouldn't break the bank. DH and I still go even though the DCs are now grown and gone.

I have trawled through every hotel in Corfu and Zante and can't find anything suitable 😔 we went to Crete this year and absolutely loved it but we don't want to do a flight longer than 4 hours next year as we already done 4 long haul flights this year and that was enough 😆
