Can anyone recommend some really nice places please? so far looked at Tenby, St David's, Broad Haven as a start.. never been to this part of the UK so have no idea basically!
Interested in lovely views, walks, ruins, nice beaches.

I'm not a massive fan of Tenby, but love Manorbier, Stackpole / Barafundel Bay, St David's, Freshwater West...most of that coast to be honest - it's one of my favourite places in the world.

Would this trip be OK in October do you think? Have to delay holiday for a bit

We loved the area around St Davids - stayed just outside St Davids and were walkable to a lovely beach that was only accessible from the coastal path, so wasn't busy at all!

We lucked out with the weather, but what we loved about it was that we had 3 different beaches under a 10 minute drive and nowhere was busy!

I was in Tenby last week. Far far far too busy for me. It didn't take me long to decide to take the boat to Caldey Island for the day and try to escape the crowds.

October is fine OP. Pembrokeshire is always beautiful. And it’s advisable to take waterproofs regardless of the month 😀

Porthgain nr St davids and walk the coastal path towards st David’s and find the secret beach. Eat at the Shed. In St davids go out to Nons head and eat at Grain and have Brunch at Oriel Parc. Head north and try Mannings in Fishguard for lunch. Got up and park at Cwm Yr Eglwys and walk Dinas head then eat at the Sailors safety. Pop into Newport and see the art gallery and walk the beach and then go to Pentre Ifan to see the standing stones and where stones from stonehenge came from. If you love icecream then try Pointz castle ice cream cafe near Newgale. If you can have a drink at Druidstone. Enjoy!!!

Love love Pembrokeshire especially Manorbier and west of there, Stackpole estate. Manorbier has a shop AND a pub (as well as a Norman castle).

Beware there are two Broadhavens - one is near Stackpole, Broadhaven South, near Barafundle. The other is on the west coast, near Druidstone and Little Haven.

I don't like St David's much though it may be nicer out of season but the coastline near there is gorgeous too, as is Dinas Head near Fishguard.

I agree with @mumonthehill. Porthgain is just beautiful. My favourite place. We have evenings in The Sloop and fish and chips from The Shed. We stay in an AirB&B right in the village.

The coastline is completely spectacular and with Porthgain you can walk to Abercastle and take the little bus back. Also, the stretch between Solva and St. Davids is worth it with pubs either side. We like The Cambrian Arms in Solva.

If you're after something special Crug Glas is close by to stay or for a meal.

And as for the weather, its Wales! Anything is possible so wear layers and take a waterproof...even in August!

You can walk from broad haven to little haven which is gorgeous when the tide is out, really lovely! Barrafundle bay is defo worth a visit. St David’s and Solva are lovely and there isn’t a bad beach down there. If you’re into Harry Potter you can visit Debbie’s grave at Freshwater beach and white sands beach is amazing too!

Dobby's grave.

Who is Debbie? 😄
