Usually go with Jet2 but some packages on Easyjet have caught me eye. Any good or should I avoid?

The biggest bonus is Easyjet don't play Jess Glynn on repeat on the plane

Well you've saved me from ever flying with Jet2, that is torture.

We've used easyJet for the last six holidays and have three more booked.
The main reason I love them is that you can completely cancel up to 30 days before and not lose any money- the deposit just stays as credit in your account. This means if a better deal comes up, or different rooms are released I just book again and then cancel my existing holiday.

You can cancel and keep the deposit for something else? That sounds amazing!

@Batmanisaplaceinturkey yep.

So £60 per person deposit, then if you decide to cancel any payments you have made over the £60pp get refunded back to your bank account and the deposit stays as easyJet credit.

It says you can only use the credit once but people on the Facebook page say they have cancelled multiple times.
What I do is keep it as credit until 30 days before I fly when the balance is due, at that point you can no longer get a full refund anyway.

For me it is the best thing, it takes away the stress of booking as if the price goes down, or I can't make the dates I just cancel.

We've used them before. Having the baggage and transfers included in the price was useful. Where we went, the same holiday was available on Jet2 at a higher price.

Used them for a holiday in Prague and it was wonderful😊 very easy. Would do it again.

We've used Easy jet to go to same hotel in Croatia last 4 years because they have the best flight times . We get the hotel and minibus transfer through them . All great .

We have just had a week in Fuerteventura with Easyjet, my first, DHs second. No issues whatsoever. Flights left on time, just a short wait at the airport fir the transfer, they used a local company just for their customers. Hotel was good, and the return journey was good. No reps at the hotel, but I don't know if these are still a thing wuth any company. The price was good. I found their app a little cumbersome to use compared to Jet2, but overall would not hesitate to use again. In fact, they are probably my first choice.

Fine booking but absolutely NO support if there is an issue while you are away!!! Just come back from a filthy "4*" hotel and despite providing a DETAILED report with photos and videos they could not have cared less. Just an email with a crappy apology! Personally I will NEVER book an EasyJet holiday again. Beware!

Have you pursued it with ABTA?

We’ve used them for a holiday in Port d’Alcudia in Mallorca. Stayed at same hotel we’d previously used with Jet2.

There was no transfer to resort but we knew the bus from the airport that runs down the Alcudia bay so jumped on that instead.

As pp have commented, we don’t use the resort rep these days so no great shakes that way.

One thing gets my goat though, when looking at their app and clicking through a particular holiday, you get to the ‘Extras’ options , first is seat selection then additional baggage with its multitude of options. It’s not immediately obvious , at least to me, that this is onboard baggage.
If you scroll on there’s a sentence reminding you that you have a 23kg hold bag free with the holiday.

Clearinguptheclutter · 06/11/2025 08:06

There is no rep, and I’m not sure how easy/hard it would be to actually speak to someone if something was wrong but we’ve had perfectly good hols using them

def cheaper than jet 2

Yes we've done 2. Prague and Crete. Unlike us as usually we DIY but they were good deals for a quick break. No issues and you get full hold luggage allowance included on packages.

I'll just start with the Holiday the booking of the holiday, every step of transfers flight times was all good my family and I had a good time away. The issue we had was on the way back and how EasyJet deal with the behaviour of their staff.

We had an evening flight from Gran Canaria we arrived at the airport early at 6pm, the baggage check in took an hour and half and there was no air-conditioning in the airport, they wouldn't put more than one member of staff on the desk and when the other member of staff appeared she was dealing with fast check in only and wasn't serving standard check in even when she had no one to deal with.

The flight was delayed by an hour when we finally got on board we sat in our seats that we had to pre-book and cost us £59.97, we were in row 2 on the left side of the plane the seats in front of us were empty.

The floors where we were expected to put our bags had not been cleaned since the previous flight there was melted chocolate and all sorts on the floor under the seats.

The first hour of the flight was totally fine air hostesses came around and served no issues and were pleasant.

When the cart had finished it's rounds 2 lads from the back of the plane came to the front and were waiting for the toilet (considering the air hostess had sent other people from the back of the plane to the back to use the toilets I found it strange how these 2 weren't asked to return to back to use the toilet). At this point it's 12am my wife and daughter were trying to get some sleep as we had been up since 8am that morning.

These lads were flirting with the air hostesses initially I found the funny side of it, but after 2 hours of then stood there and the air hostesses flirting back it felt as if I was in a nightclub at no point were they asked to return to their seats and they were not being quiet to allow the other passengers to rest. They then proceeded to take the seats in front of us and continue to flirt both lads and staff.

I raised a complaint about the other than the response taking almost 2 weeks to get back to me, Mark at customer services proceeded to blame only the passengers and said easyJet are not responsible for the passengers, to which I replied agreed but your staff are responsible to make sure situations like this don't happened and don't join in with this behaviour, again he disagreed his staff had don't any wrong doing as it would be against operational procedures for him to do so.

I was given initially a £50 voucher towards another easyJet holiday which I refused as I wanted the 19.99 each I paid for the seat they rejected the extra 9.97, and we settled on a £50 refund

I will never use EasyJet again for a package holiday, will book with TUI or Jet2 next time
