Looking for next Summer, want to go to Turkey again but looking for recommendations of 4*+ All Inclusive resorts. Has anyone got any good recommendations - and please tell me what was good about it! Especially interested in the food aspect...)

Oh also needs to be kid-friendlly! Kids club a nice to have but not a must as I have a reluctant child!

Nobody on Mumsnet has been All Inclusive to Turkey? 😨

I have! My favourite is the barut lara but it's spendy 😂

FuckThePoPo · 05/09/2024 16:44

Sorry I keep posting to soon I've also been to delphin diva, Concorde, Lara beach and I think another one but can't remember. They were all nice but the barut Lara is another level 😊

Hoplolly · 05/09/2024 16:45

Don't show me spendy! 😧(Well do, but I am blaming you if I blow the budget!)

Hotel & Club Letoonia was nice, as was Liberty Lara Beach

What sort of thing are you looking for, apart from AI?

fortifiedwithtea · 05/09/2024 17:04

Royal Taj Mahal, Antalya. We went in 2019 . So good I refuse to go back because I don’t want to spoil the memory.

Went with my husband and our learning disabled daughter who was 17 at the time. The animation team worked extremely hard, treated our girl like their little sister, they were so kind, got her involved in all the games. She cried on the plane because the holiday was over.

I loved the aqua aerobics followed by the family poolside games that lead nicely onto lunchtime.

food was good and plenty of variety.

Our room was perfect for us a bedroom lead off to another bedroom, we had a side view .

Evening entertainment was at their outdoor amphitheatre both professional acts and the animation team put on shows. Something different every night.

The only negative was the beach. There are insects in the sand and I was horribly bitten. Bites turned nasty and I had to go find a pharmacy, luckily that was across the road from the hotel. We only went to the beach once during the day. And then one night for the beach white party where our hotel joins forces with the sister hotel (chinese theme) next door.

Really good food, nice pool with some slides etc. Bit of entertainment at night. Not so fussed about all the a la carte but want the buffet to be really good.

We really like the Liberty Hotels - theres a few around Turkey. We go to the one in Fetiye

Buggeroffandleavemealone · 05/09/2024 17:57

Just came on to recommend the Barut Lara and can see someone's beat me to it. A friend went after I'd recommended it and then went back about 5 years in a row.

It's a lovely hotel, the a la carte restaurants were great and all are included.

The only negative was that there wasn't much outside the hotel.

Fatcaterpillar · 05/09/2024 21:44

Lara Barut if you're a foodie. Al a carte restaurants were amazing, like going out every night. Plus some open for breakfast and lunch too. Plus the biggest and best buffet I've ever seen.

Fatcaterpillar · 05/09/2024 21:46

@Buggeroffandleavemealone totally agree, but they did have good entertainment too. Definitely a chill holiday.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 05/09/2024 21:58

We’ve only been to Turkey once and stayed at the Arum Barut Collection which we loved.

The buffet was great, a la cartes included. The kids loved the crepe place and patisserie.

The pier into the sea is fab - the kids loved flipping off it into the sea.

Good gym if you like that kind of thing on holiday.

There is a kids club but ours were early teens so didn’t go. They enjoyed the couple of water slides.

we had a regency room I think which had a double room, a twin and a living room.

There are some shops within 5 minutes walk and easy to get the bus to local bazaars. There’s a lovely walk along the promenade into Side town.?

Hilton Dalaman is amazing.

Thanks everyone. I will have a look at these suggestions with a cuppa today!

Hi - following this thread as am considering booking the Lara Barut for July 2025. Prices are high though - ranging from £8.5k - £12k for 9 nights for 2 adults and 2 teens with BA Holidays, Jet2 and TUI (flights from London + hotel). Seems expensive for Turkey but maybe my expectations are wrong. Does that price range sound about right to those who have been before and is it worth it?

Hoplolly · 13/09/2024 16:16

I ruled our Lara Barut on cost but also I felt overwhelmed by the amount of restaurants etc. I am only going for 7 days, don't need A La Carte every night!

Jiva Beach is amazing and the kids club animators are excellent

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 13/09/2024 16:47

Club Marvy so good we can't go back as we're worried it wouldn't be as good!

troppibambini6 · 13/09/2024 17:18

Barut Lara, Mardan palace or the Regnum.

Prices seem to have nearly doubled since we went 2 years ago 🙄😲

FMH · 13/09/2024 17:44

Turkey seems very expensive for next year. We could probably go to Mexico for the same price as Lara Barut! But it does look like a lovely hotel.

SinicalMe · 13/09/2024 18:26

Turkey is incredibly expensive as it's one of the few countries that Russians can visit. They're propping up the Turkish tourist industry hence the high prices.

It always makes me laugh when MNetters recommend a cheap holiday in Turkey. Unless you're going cheap cheap they no longer exist.

I went to Voyage Belek a few years ago - great hotel Op sadly it's around £12-13k to go there now with my 2 adults 3 dc family. Way more than double the price we paid.

Hope you find a good hotel at a good price.

blibblibs · 13/09/2024 20:51

We went to Pine Bay in Kusadasi this year. Enjoyed it for what it was - a lying around the pool doing very little!
Huge complex, loads of pools, slides, kids club, private bay with lovely beach and water sports.
Loads of eating places, although we didn't do the a la carte as we enjoyed the buffet. Food available all day and plenty of different bars and entertainment every evening.
Off site water park is a 5 mins walk away.
Only down side for us was the heat! Didn't explore the local area as it was just too warm.

Neverplayleapfrogwithmrpipes · 13/09/2024 20:56

We stayed at the Bella side star hotel in Antalya near side. It was lovely and the staff were fab. We were the only brits there as it was a very German favoured hotel. But we loved it as no one was being silly with drinking. They also had a coffee and cake restaurant for the afternoon so we embraced a German tradition!

My 13 year old daughter loved it!
