Do they have taps?

Cecilly · 08/07/2024 06:32

I agree, tap water should be fine.

WelliesWithHeels · 08/07/2024 06:40

The valet/bellhops generally have cold water they will give you if you exit the hotel that way. There is also a Walgreens or CVS right there where you can buy normal groceries, including waters.

RivkaTheBold · 08/07/2024 06:41

How much is it?

Peoneve · 08/07/2024 06:46

Just go to CVS.

WinterMorn · 08/07/2024 06:57

Go to Target on The Strip, you can buy colossal bottles of water for $1.49

AttilaTheMeerkat · 08/07/2024 07:01

CVS, Target or walgreens sell bottled water at reasonable cost.

DancefloorAcrobatics · 08/07/2024 07:30

Do you have a kettle in your room?
I'd use that to boil & let cool down the tap water and fill bottles with that.

SnakesAndArrows · 08/07/2024 07:36

Tap water with ice from the ice machines will be fine, unless you dislike the taste. Otherwise, supermarkets.

RaininSummer · 08/07/2024 07:47

Wow isn't there drinkable water in the taps. That is quite shocking.

AIstolemylunch · 08/07/2024 07:49

CVS just outside

PortiasBiscuit · 08/07/2024 07:53

You do not need to boil tap water in the USA!

Yes there is. Tap water is fine.

Why would you need to boil the tap water in the USA?

The cvs down by park mgm tends to be a little cheaper. The one by Treasure island is the most expensive.
There is also a target down towards mgm grand and that is better priced.

Or go off strip to a Walmart.

Whatevernext1 · 08/07/2024 08:33

If you're desperate they give them for 'free' at the casinos, just tip $1. Otherwise Walgreens,Target CVS etc. We normally go off strip to Walmart when we arrive to stock up on supplies for the room.
I stayed at the Palazzo the first time I went to Vegas so I'm quite jealous!
Have a lovely time 😎

JohnnyAndTheDead · 08/07/2024 08:36

Just use tap water.

Iwouldlikesomecake · 08/07/2024 08:44

Tap water in vegas is fine to drink but it’s quite chlorinated which probably puts people off. I’d second the CVS down by MGM. I also don’t blame them for not having ‘mountain spring’ fresh water cos they’re literally in the desert!

FinalCeleryScheme · 08/07/2024 08:45

V strange thread.

HerbalRefreshmentt · 08/07/2024 08:46

Oh god please dont drink Vegas tap water. Yes its potable but you wouldnt believe how many minerals (calcium, magnesium) and stuff (chlorine) is in there. Those white patches you see around cement walls from where lawn watering happens and the water evaporates - thats in the water. The hotel may also add on their own treatment. Boiling isnt going to get rid of the mineral content. London has hard water too but desert water is something special on its own (source: lived in Vegas over 10 years, never drank from the tap unless absolutely necessary because it just tasted downright disgusting)

AgentProvocateur · 08/07/2024 08:48

Do you really need the internet to tell you that you can buy cheaper water in a grocery store?

L0bstersLass · 08/07/2024 08:59

Walgreens, literally outside the front of the hotel on the Strip.

To the people saying the tap water is safe.. I always thought that the reason we shouldn't drink water on foreign holidays wasn't that their water was necessarily unsafe. I thought it was more to do with the fact that there will be naturally occurring microbes in each country that our gut isn't used to and that could cause an upset tummy.
Is that wrong, because if so I won't be wasting money on bottled water in future? 😅

I think it is because of the differing mineral content that our bodies are not used to.
