Family friendly hotels Amsterdam… with parking

Hi, we’re looking for a hotel in or on outskirts of Amsterdam for 2 nights after staying at a holiday park elsewhere, we’ll have our car (compact SUV) with roofbox. We were looking at a hotel in ilburg so we could get the tram into the city centre however the hotel parking has a height limit we’ll likely exceed, and reviews aren’t great. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

I have been invited to a wedding of the son of a very old friend. My dh doesn't want to go and therefore I would be on my own. It's approx 150 miles away and therefore I would have to stay at a nearby or same hotel as couple, for 2 nights. The cost of everything would amount to around £500, but its not really the money. I just don't feel I can socialise for 2 whole days on my own. Any thoughts gratefully received.

We stayed in the Van Gough Hotel in the museum quarter just behind the van gough museum. Can’t say what it would be like for parking though as it doesn’t have its own car park but there could be parking nearby, but it did us for a few nights. Fairly small hotel. Probably at the basic end of budget but couldn’t really complain.

We stayed in the Ramada in Rembrandtpark. I think it’s now called Leonardo. It has a large car park although we haven’t used it. It’s a 15 minute tram ride from the centre and there are supermarkets and places to eat nearby.

We parked at Ajax stadium for 1€ per day for the weekend and got the train in for very, very cheap, then you can stay anywhere.

I would highly recommend City Den Bolo District. There is parking behind that is charged per day. Short tram ride in.
