Disneyland Paris

I'm a single parent taking my 7 year old to Disneyland Paris in early July. We've booked a hotel nearby but it's outside the park (no meals included). We'll also need to get a taxi from the airport to the hotel, then trains to the park.

Can anyone give me tips about what to expect etc? Also the two day park tickets we have are emailed as a square orange box with a QR code. Is this normal (got a deal on wowcher from best holidays UK, and so far not impressed with their service)?

We're flying with easy jet but the agent is now saying we only have hand luggage (not what he said before).

Is anyone else going in July (particularly single parents) that we could meet up with the share the fun?

Any tips or advice will be most welcome!

More drama, I just realised last night that my son's passport has expired😑I've done an online renewal today and posted the old one off. Fingers crossed it comes in time..

My husband and I visited Disney land on the week commencing 25th September 2023 we had purchased 2 day tickets for the Tuesday and Wednesday planning to do one park each day - https://tiqets.tp.st/cDU5K15U
We started of with the Magic Castle and is all I can say is WOW absolutely fantastic experience where do I even begin.
Firstly we managed on both days to get there early enough in the morning around 20 mins before opening so the queuing system was at a bare minimal.
From start to finish the day ran as smooth as clockwork.
The first ride we got on was within 15 minutes of being in the park.
This was the star wars ride. Absolutely fantastic.!
Within and hour of being in the park we had done 3 rides
By late morning the park had started to get really busy and the queuing started to become lengthy. In places like this you really need to expect on average a 45 minute wait so if your eager to get on all the rides then it would be worth buying a fast track.
Both Parks were immaculately clean.
