After weeeks of waiting they have finally approved DD passport.... how long normally until it gets printed and dispatched?

@lovemylittlebear it took over two weeks from it being signed for for ours to say received. After that point it took about 10 days to get the passport so fingers crossed you'll be OK

@Bells3032 after how many days of them acknowledging your documents did you get your next update?

Got acknowledged on the Tues. Fri morning photo got rejected and so went to snappy snaps and did another one lunchtime that day. Got approved 2 hours later. The sat 8 days later got the printed notification and it arrived the following Tues. Never got a dispatch noticed just arrived on my doormat

Does anyone know if it's possible to cancel the online application once documents have been received and proceed with a 1 week fast track one instead? Our holiday is at the beginning of May and I'm beginning to lose hope! Xx

I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago and was told that I could but they could take ages to send back the birth certificate and formally close the application :( so was advised I may b better waiting and hoping. Not s it e if same for you. Been trying to call them everyday for four days now and it gets cut off after being on hold ten mins x

I just had notification to say it’s been accepted. Thank goodness. What are the chances that it will actually get back here though before we go away on fourth May? X

@Lovemylittlebear where did u send it? Which passport office? Glad yours as moved on. I’m still waiting! When did u get a message that documents had been recieved?

Said received on 30th and I had confirmed tracking for 15th applied on 4th March.

Yesterday update to say approved. We fly on 4th May so hoping it will be printed and arrive before then which sounds realistic but after they taking two weeks just to say received the birth certificate not feeling overly optimistic as don’t want to jinx myself x

I also got message on 30th that documents recieved but nothing since. Sent it to bottle. We fly on 30th april but looking unlikely :( I think you should be fine! X

Sorry @Lovemylittlebear can I ask did your tracking page ever change from “documents received” to “approved”. Like saying processing or anything?

Yesterday it changed to application approved x

Then above it says gone for printing or something x

Yes I had the message on Friday to say approved then one yesterday to say printed and then received today x

I applied on the 17th of feb
Had delays in confirming identity 11th of March
Sent documents on the 15th of March
System updated received on the 29th of March

I'm booked for holiday on the 29th of April which I am pretty sure it will be cancelled now.
I'm so sad ... I just want an update on the application and have been calling them mornings afternoons and evenings but it gets cut off after 10 min.

@Sunshinexx95 my holiday is the same day as you and my application details are almost identical dates. I can't give you hope but I'm in the same boat.

Which office has your application gone to? Mines at Bootle

If you look at the threads on this website it suggests that the time between documents received and application accepted are the longest and things move quicker once you get to that stage. But nothings guaranteed. I'm just clutching at straws!

Mine has gone to Peterborough where all the delays are. Most people are saying to count 5 weeks from the day the identity was confirmed. So in my case it would be from the 11th of March... and we have bank holiday tomorrow and Monday...

@Sunshinexx95 they work over Easter I asked them when I last rung. Delays r usually to get document scanned. I had mine approved on 30th and today it was printed. X

That is such a waste of time. 2 weeks for printing only? That is a lot of time honestly. It means that if I want to get the passport and it is still not approved even. It will be by the end of may..

Oh sorry @Sunshinexx95 my documents were received and scanned on 30th April (sent in 3 weeks before!)
