If you were going on honeymoon in September, where would you go?

Ideally with warm sandy beaches, decent nightlife and good food. Anywhere in the world, money not really a factor.

Where would you personally go and why?

You could do Maldives and Sri Lanka. September is a good time

Somewhere in the Indian Ocean? ....been to Seychelles and Maldives in September and each time weather has been fantastic....white sandy beaches, amazing scenery and wildlife and gorgeous food
Alternatively Koh Samui or Koh Phangan in September is a good option (unlike West coast Thailand, Monsoon doesn't strike east coast islands Thailand until October ) ...white sand beaches , good nightlife and amazing food and culture

Chania, Crete. Beautiful harbour, lovely old town with qaint back streets, historical buildings. plenty of of restaurants, nightlife etc. Some amazing beaches nearby. One-of my favourite places.

I think I'd head to central America or Miami or california?

Barbados is a great destination. Lovely beaches, delicious rum punches and lively nightlife.

Various parts of Africa.

Start with a stay at a vineyard - small hotels, great views, pool lounging, drinking and sleeping. Recover from wedding and flight.

Then a Safari for a few nights (luxury camping type, very small group).

Then an island paradise for a week / 10 days.

Or Sri Lanka. Beautiful island - tropical beaches, tea plantations, ancient Buddhist relics, safaris and lovely people.

We’re both African (different bits), and have done most of the things we fancy doing. We want an ‘exotic’ honeymoon, if you see what I mean?

Hawaii 😍specifically Maui (although for nightlife maybe Honolulu), we had an incredible time stopped in San Francisco on way break up the journey.

Hoping to return for our 10 year anniversary although with two kids in tow won't be quite the same

We went to California on honeymoon in September the year we got married. The weather was perfect.

My daughter and hubby are flying to Miami then cruising around the Caribbean islands

My Honeymoon in September is gonna be in Dubai 30+ heat Beautiful beaches Luxurious And amazing night life Food, shopping entertainment everything is amazing

Dubai will be horribly humid in September, it will be impossible to be outdoors for any length of time, even the beach will be horrible and the sea will be as warm as soup. .

If you want beaches and sun, go elsewhere. Visit Dubai between November and March for beach weather.

We went to Sri Lanka for a holiday, which was gorgeous and we stayed in an eco resort which was amazing, however I think there are some travel advisories for there at the moment? Otherwise amazing.

Agree with Mediterranean as the weather etc is lovely at that time if year.

I'd avoid the Caribbean as that is hurricane/rainy season, we got lucky actually as we didn't mind the weather but it is probably not what you want on honeymoon!

Not the southern / eastern US as that is prime hurricane season.
I love a Greek island but that seems a little unadventurous.
Bali is a good option, however as suggested a few posts back Maui would be my choice.

I haven’t been but I’d love to go to Bora Bora.
St Lucia is really lovely but for the time of the year the Caribbean could be risky.
What budget do you have OP?

The Med in September is fab, school holidays over so less people around, weather is perfect.

Sardinia has Caribbean style beaches, but nightlife on the quieter side, food is great.

Island hopping in Greece.

Further afield

Seychelles weather is excellent in September, sea might still be a bit rough though.

Crispynoodle I did a similar holiday last week, it was fabulous.

I did French Polynesian for my honeymoon many years ago in September. Not sure about nightlife but it was amazing place to visit. You could always stop in California one way for more nightlife I suppose

We did the amalfi coast last September for our honeymoon and it was totally perfect.

This but then I love Italy. Scilly would also be lovely in September.

Absolutely beautiful but no club style nightlife.

If money were no object the Melanesian Islands in the South Pacific. Oh that was for beauty and culture- can't vouch for the nightlife.

Closer to home - Capri? Also Rome and Venice are nice in the shoulder seasons.

Florida Keys? Hawaii/Maui are overblown imo.

Cyprus will be gorgeous in September, still hot and the beaches are amazing. They beat Mexico's beaches for me 👍🏻

We honeymooned there as well - many years ago when it was totally unspoilt. Still my favourite place - we took DT’s for their 16th birthday.

How about Croatia? Split and an island, there are some truely stunning hotels.

Or an Italian tour? Not so many stunning white beaches but Amalfi coast, Sardinia, Lake Como will all be beautiful at that time of year
