Going with DD (24) for four nights. Any recommendations for food and things to see and do?

You must have a drink at El Pimpi, it's a Malagan institution! I also really rate a bar called Madeinterranea for tapas - it's on Plaza Uncibay.

@seekinglondonlife we will go there , thank you
@itssquidstella love the name, we’ll be there!

Hi all Malaga fans, I'm going in May for the first time with DH. Is there a nice walk along coast from Malaga to pretty spots or beaches?

We are both fit and good walkers, any recommendations? Thank you!

@zafferana thanks for the recommendation, I have now booked a few nights at the Salles hôtel for DS and me Smile

@IDoAllMyOwnStunts-There is a concrete prommenade going for miles on both directions from Malaga. Along the footpath there were out door gyms, seats and I think water fountains. One way goes towards the airport and the path eventually stops.

Going the other way East we walked just over an hour one morning to Playas del Palo. Found a lovely beach cafe and had breakfast. I think one point near the end we had to leave the path and walk next to a road, but only for a short section, then back onto a beach footpath.

Hairyfriend- that's really useful to know thank you.

@22Newnames the breakfast is very good there, which will probably be popular with a teen boy, if he's anything like mine!

Just somewhere to put my thoughts, and in case it helps anyone else as I think a few of us are travelling at similar times. Here is my to do list. Have I forgotten anything?

Thanks for posting this question OP. I want to visit Malaga and Granada in September. Fab advice so far!

seekinglondonlife · 06/03/2022 12:38

For anyone going and needing car hire, Malagacar.com is really good. Just remember to pay for the extra insurance!

A tip for anyone flying in and out of Malaga. If you are used to checking in, doing security and then sitting and relaxing in an airport bar/ cafe until your flight is called - be aware that there is now quite a queue to join to go through passport control before you get to your flight gate. We've flown through there in October and February. First time we thought it may be down to extra Covid regs but I think it's around Brexit meaning they stamp all passports now. When we were there a couple of weeks ago a lot of people were pushing past the queue worrying they were going to miss flights - so just a warning .

Can I have some advice please? Payment failed for some reason for my apartment, so I found somewhere else and am now torn. We have 3 primary aged children. Would you go for an apartment complex with pools in the Fuengirola area, or a city centre apartment? For Easter. Many thanks

Mum5net · 16/03/2022 22:40

@Notdoingthis. I’m back and now have Covid, not from Malaga. I would pass on city apartments and head Fga
