Spain - covid testing- have I got this right?

Sorry for another covid testing one!
After reading pages and pages of the gov website, I just want to check with the wisdom of mumsnet that I’ve got this right.

Travelling from UK to Spain- both adults fully vaccinated and have NHS app to prove.
DD13 will have a pcr test within 72 hours before we travel. Other two dc are under 12 so don’t need a test? Fill in forms online within 48 hours of departure.

Up to 72 hours before travelling back to the UK. Both adults, DD13 and DD11 will have a lateral flow test. DS8 won’t as he is under 10. Again fill in forms online.

Day 2 tests once home for all of us.

Is this right or am I missing something?

Oh don't make me jealous as I sit here watching rain!

@whatagloriousthingtobe sorry missed the last bit we are planning to register them when we get home before we do them. We couldn't register to a date in the future only to the past or current day so not sure you can register before.

@Mamamia35 I can only speak for randox as that's who we booked with but if you go on their website. You have the option to order home test which you can drop at a drop box (it tells you the local ones to you) think we paid £46 each, or a walk in test at a site (I know Manchester airport have one) which will think was about £70 ish.

@troppibambini6 thanks for the info.

For anyone else who might be confused randox have just confirmed that you yourself assign the booking ref codes to each person when filling out the uk plf and that test then belongs to you and you match the urn inside the box to that booking ref code.

Bloody hell my head is just 🤯 after all this faff

@whatagloriousthingtobe once you are here it's so so worth it Smile
Whereabouts are you going?

whatagloriousthingtobe · 21/08/2021 15:10

@troppibambini6 Alicante ! Cannot wait but this has really stressed me out ! Where abouts are you? Is it roasting ??

We are in Marbella old town. It's hot but not unbearable we haven't had this Spanish heatwave I keep hearing about! One thing I would say is it's really busy, it's a bit like England I suppose so a lot of Spanish have come south I think rather than flying somewhere else on holiday. Everyone is very good re mask wearing (compulsory for everyone over 6 indoors) and a lot wearing them outside when it's busy but other than that feel relatively normal.

Just an update for anyone still interested. We travelled home yesterday and was really easy.
We had to show vaccination certificate, negative test and uk passenger locator form at check in desk after that it was just normal. Obviously everyone wearing masks in the airport and on the plane. Bit of a queue at passport control but been in worse when flown back before COVID.
