Back from amber country.. how many checks did you get?

We recently came back from a holiday.. when we booked it the country was green, the night before we were due to fly it turned amber, as we couldn’t get hold of anyone to change our holiday we still went.. we’ve just got back and the day one of getting home both my husband an I had phone calls to check we were isolating and we also had a knock on the door! Just wondering if anyone else has come back from an amber and how often they check up on you?! We’re sticking to the rules but just wondered out of curiosity.

We arrived from Greece Thursday at 4pm and had an 8am knock on the door Friday morning.
The man was nice enough and said his colleagues will definitely be back at some point during the next 10 days at least once.

Oh and he said don't panic if it I look out of the window and see police as they're also doing checks and it could potentially be them.

My daughter spends a lot of time in our cellar which is a games room and can't hear the door from there.
If I'm in the back of the house with the washing machine on I can't hear the front door
So I'm stressing that we won't hear the door.
Feel like I'll have to rota that someone is always in the lounge just in case.

I had one call on day 1 and a couple of texts.

Interesting. I’ve had two phone calls and two home visits two days in a row on days 3 and 4 and just missed a call (en route to my test to release test). Starting to feel like I’m a prisoner out on license! Not a good feeling actually.

One telephone call! I was surprised actually, had been told to expect daily calls and possible home visits but none of the latter and just the one call! I finished quarantine on Thursday.

Just going to keep updating this in case anyone is interested.
DH received and answered a call yesterday and they basically just asked him if his test was booked.
I received (and missed) 2 calls yesterday.
First one while I was in the shower.
Second one while I was hoovering.
Sods law.

So I'm now expecting MI5 any minute...

And I'm double vaxxed so not sure why they are calling me.
