I need to write a very strong letter to the Chief Exexutive of Butlins, but having real trouble finding out who that is.

Whenever I ask for help on Mumsnet, someone comes to the rescue - can anyone enlighten me?

They are there to make money. Of course they should apologise properly but i do think it is down to one crap cleaner simply overlooking that the room hadnt been donew properly rather than anyting more readworthy.

But hercules, if you extend that view then no-one ever has to take responsibility for anything, you always blame it on the poor person at the bottom who may not have been properly trained or properly supervised.

Yes, of course rooms should be cleaned properly but we are talking about a bottle of pills not poo smeared all over the walls. Peraps the cleaner needs reminding rather than a nation wide witch hunt.

What bothered me more than the incident itself was the way I was treated by 2 senior managers at the site afterwards. It was like I didn't exist - did not make eye contact, come over and apologise - basically behave professionally with a customer who was clearly in some distress, on her own, with two small children.

OMG tgb. This is terrible. I do think it is a news story. Where were the drugs and what were they?

It is totally Butlins fault. The cleaner wasn't thorough, and neither was the supervisor as all rooms SHOULD be checked before letting. You don't just let a cleaner do her job and it hope everything is OK. It should have been double cecked.

What if 2gb's ds had taken the drugs? That would have been awful.

So Butlins cleaner didn't do the job, nor did the supervisor and they haven't even apologised. I'd be fuming too.

well 2gb There are loads of parents preparing to go to these places over summer (im going on a caravan site soon) and I think it is always best to warn people that these so called family friendly holidays are not necessarily that! - a little advance knowledge is no bad thing.
