Hope no-one minds if I start another thread as the old one is full?

Or are you all in Orlando now? Smile

Thanks. That's good to know. My lot will struggle on early starts but it's not unheard of!
Yes, we will be at a disney resort so will look into the magic hours.

Dailystuck71 · 21/08/2017 07:29

Where do you buy'tickets? Attraction tickets are just under £2k for the three of us. 14 day Disney plus universal. Is that about right 😮

SweetGrapes · 21/08/2017 10:35

We had the tickets that are included in the accomodation. Booked the acco on the efteling website.

SweetGrapes · 21/08/2017 10:36

Oops! Wrong thread.

JadeT2 · 21/08/2017 10:59

Daily that is about right if you want 14 day park hoppers. I would consider whether that's really necessary and buy tickets with fewer days if it suits your family. Undercover Tourist is quite good for individual multi day tickets.

Itscurtainsforyou · 21/08/2017 11:21

We had 14 day tickets for both universal and Disney parks for £491 each on floridatix (we booked at Christmas for following summer).
It was great to have the flexibility and it included Disney memory maker (so you can have photos taken all over the park by their professional photographers, plus ride photos etc all stored on your account to download whenever you want).

Dailystuck71 · 22/08/2017 07:04

Thanks. I'll shop around. We will probably be 10 days in Disney and 2-4 in universal or so.

We're here at the moment and attempted animal Kingdom today. I say attempted because we abandoned it after one ride.

We were in the queue for Avatar flight of passage for 9, we are staying offsite and the app wouldn't link with our passes so we couldn't get fast passes in advance. By the time we arrived at the fast pass station they had all gone for the big rides.

We queued straight away for flights of passage and the 2.5 hour queue was actually over 5 hours - it kept breaking down. The ride was absolutely amazing though, it's beautiful.

Given that we had a one day ticket which half of it had been wasted on the queue, the lovely man at guest services gave us an extra day. It's not always that bad, this was unforeseen but unless you are staying on site and can get there really early, I'd suggest you do not attempt without a fast pass!

2014newme · 24/08/2017 20:49

Book fast passes online the first day you can! 90 or 60 days or whatever it is!

Itscurtainsforyou · 24/08/2017 21:21

We tried to book the avatar ride 30 days in advance but there were no fast passes available- glad it was worth the wait though Smile

Dailystuck71 · 25/08/2017 06:40

I've been reading on Facebook about huge wait times. Fast passes can be booked 60 days out but often you need to have firm park plans in place.

BaconAndAvocado · 25/08/2017 15:52

Wait times at Disney are far too long, once you've used your Fastpasses .

Disney need to look at this. Maybe allow people to book more Fastpasses per day?

The weather plays a big part too..... We were at Magic Kingdom 2 days ago and as soon as it started to rain everything stopped. Apparently there was lightning in the vicinity.

Universal much better if you stay at one of their hotels which gives you Front of Line passes for all the rides, now including Harry Potter.

We're here at the moment and have found it a lot busier than this time 2 years ago.

JadeT2 · 25/08/2017 16:15

I always go in the summer and never have issues with wait times. I'm in the park at rope drop, use my 3 FPs between about 11 and 1 then go back to my hotel. Go back out about 5 for dinner and ride anything I can or use any random FPs that are available. The only time I've queued over 60 minutes is for Toy Story Mania in its opening few months. Just have to have a plan.

Itscurtainsforyou · 25/08/2017 17:00

We didn't queue for too long either. We used the app to check wait times and followed that. Also the "single rider" options on rides such as Everest meant you could get through more quickly.

BaconAndAvocado · 25/08/2017 17:08

Always plan lots and am there for rope drop.

MK is always the busiest of the Disney parks but numbers have just soared this year.

AK crazy too but that's because of Pandora.......this time next year it will probably be hellish busy at Hollywood,Studios due to new Toy Story attractions.

And then (DH very excited!) it will be the new Star Wars land.

itscurtains single rider is fantastic!

Marking my place. I'm looking to book for October / November 2018. I did Disney last year and next year I want to focus purely on Universal Studios / IOA / Volcano Bay / Busch Gardens and all the attractions and shopping that I Drive has to offer. Now I just need to find somewhere clean and decently priced and with shuttle service to the parks. Has anyone stayed at Rosen Inn Pointe before?? Looking for recommendations.

Dailystuck71 · 28/08/2017 19:02

We are opting for onsite but he homewood suites were recommended to me Jb.

Jb291 · 02/09/2017 13:35

Thank you. I will have a look at the Homewood Suites

That's what I am looking at Euphemia. Some good videos on YouTube plus the Facebook planning pages are well worth a read too m

Us too. A bit extravagant but I am wanting to book a one bed for a little more space for the three of us. The rooms look lovely.

Chrisinthemorning · 03/09/2017 08:30

Place marking.
We have flights booked, villa at Emerald Island and another at AMI for coast week.
I need to book Disney tickets and car hire. We're thinking just Disney, then in 2 years time go back at do just Universal plus Discovery Cove, Sea world etc.
We have DS (5) and like quite a relaxed itinerary so half days at Disney with villa/ pool afternoons. We are going to do Kennedy Space as well.
My parents only want to do 2-3 visits to Disney- anyone know the easiest way to get passes for them? The 3 of us will get a 14 day one.
