I thought I'd start a new thread as number 2 is nearly full.

thread 2

We haven't got ours booked yet. But we are planning on going August 2016. DH and I both turn 30 in the next 11 months so it's like a big birthday holiday.

Also 2 weeks and staying in a resort at Kissimmee Smile

Are you doing MNSSHP, Heisenberg? And do you know there is the Food & Wien Festival on at Epcot then? DH and I are planning a Drink Around The World session whilst my parents have the kids one day :) (except we'll be sharing drinks because it's too expensive and would get too drunk!)

Oh wow no i didn't know that! We will definitely have to go to that!

What is MNSSHP?

This is our first time going, i went as a child but that's going back 20 odd years. Is Wild Bills still there?

I'm so bloody excited!

BloodyDogHairs · 30/06/2015 15:51

Are you remembering Esta's and API's?

2anddone · 30/06/2015 15:53

What is an API please? I have heard of ESTA but not API thank you

BloodyDogHairs · 30/06/2015 15:58

Advanced Passenger Information, you need to fill out details before you fly with the airline. It's just the usual name, DOB, passport number etc.

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 30/06/2015 17:30

MNSSHP is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. It's a separated ticket event at the Magic Kingdom - they have Halloween parades/shows/fireworks and you can meet characters you can't meet the rest of the year. Lots of people dress up and - the best bit - even the adults can go trick-or-treating :)

I've not heard of Wild Bill's so I don't think it's there - there is a Wild Bill's dinner show in Disneyland Paris, and if that's the same thing I've never seen it at WDW.

StrawberrytallCake · 30/06/2015 19:11

Amazing morning at MK, walked straight on to it's a small world, Winnie the Pooh, little mermaid ride, teacups and dumbo, used FP for tales with Belle and then lunch at BOG before heading back to the house.

Any recommendations for mid price restaurants for us to go to tonight?

BloodyDogHairs · 30/06/2015 19:42

sounds fab strawberry!!

Chilli's is good....they also have little tablets on the tables to keep the dc's amused.

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 30/06/2015 20:24

Miller's Ale House!

HermioneWeasley · 30/06/2015 20:26

Oooo, jealous strawberry. I think BOG was the highlight of the holiday for me!

BloodyDogHairs · 30/06/2015 21:24

Aw I didn't like Millars, the food was good but the noise and tv's were off putting. I like a relaxed feel when I'm eating....I'm actually surprised that I loved Rainforest cafe as that was noisy, dark and heaving Grin

BloodyDogHairs · 30/06/2015 21:24

How did your Dd's react to the reveal strawberry?

That sounds amazing, i didn't know if there would be Halloween stuff on when we go as we come back 12th October, are Halloween events on right through october? Will the place be decorated for Halloween? We wanted to go at the end of October for all that but it was a lot more expensive!

Wild Bills was like a show, you got a meal and drinks and watched all these cool stunts by cowboys, i remember them doing knife throwing and stuff, the main guy, Wild Bill came and spoke to us after the show, he gave me a kiss on the cheek and gave my cousin a spent bullet Grin it was really cool

ShiftyFades · 30/06/2015 23:30

Still waiting for my sisters passport -long story and me and my Dad are fuming with her. She's contributing nothing (financially and organisationally) to this holiday and doesn't seem to care that there's thousands at risk because she's lazy and incompetent.....

DH, me and DS has valid ESTAs from last year - I was trying to do them, and it told me they were already in place (I checked all 3), I then found out they last 2 years Smile

API - waiting for dumb ass sister to give me her passport that she's only just sent off for (assuming she's not lying).

BloodyDogHairs · 30/06/2015 23:52

When do you fly out Shifty?

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 01/07/2015 10:54

Dog, it was quiet when we ate inside (I hate noisy places too) but I did notice a very noisy bar on the outside part. I've heard the bar gets rowdy!

Heinsenberg, yes the Halloween stuff (and the parties) are on from mid-September to the 1st November. I'm presuming the parks will be decorated during that time but not sure. The party is on select nights only but it's about 4 or 5 times a week. If you aren't going to the party then make sure you don't go to MK on a party day as you will get kicked out from 7pm and there won't be any Wishes fireworks! Although MK is supposed to be quieter during the day on a party day so that maybe evens things out.

velvetelvis · 01/07/2015 18:45

Heisenberg, yes the whole of MK is decorated for Halloween from the end of September. It looks amazing!
We were there in October last year but didn't go to the party. So excited to go to it this year! Can't wait to dress up Grin

HeisenbergSaysHello · 01/07/2015 22:49

Amazing!! So happy in going to see it done up for Halloween! Will have to get costumes to dress up. This is going to be so great!

Been and got some dollars today and some holiday clothes for the kids. Only got paid Monday and im already too scared to look at my bank balance Blush

ShiftyFades · 01/07/2015 23:12

We fly on 11th Aug so just under 6 weeks. It's a long story behind her changing her name (can't afford to divorce so wants to change name by deed poll and hasn't done any of it yet insisted I book flight in her maiden name (the name she's changing back to)). So nothing matches at the moment Confused

LeBoob · 02/07/2015 08:06

Does anyone have advise as to best day to fly out of manchester? Wee booking flights separate & are hoping it will work out. I was thinking Tuesday as that's when dreamliners fly.

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 02/07/2015 09:28

Heisenberg, if you're planning to the party you need to get tickets beforehand. Tuesdays are the best days to go.
