Mine would be Annandale Water, on the M74 near Lockerbie. A lovely spot.

gaggiagirl · 16/11/2014 16:27

Weatherby.

Gruntbaby · 16/11/2014 16:27

Tebay/Westmoreland

Fantastic views, independent, and employs lots of people with learning difficulties. Nice ducks.

OpenSandwich · 16/11/2014 16:28

Awwww I want to head north to try Tebay now. Definitely seems to be the winner!

Tebay obvs.

Like Michael Wood - or is it Michael Palin - can never remember.

Not a fan of the pitiless tundra that is Leigh Delamere

FudgeyCookie · 16/11/2014 16:37

I like strensham, southbound m5 definately better then northbound.

Some great memories there!

CMOTDibbler · 16/11/2014 16:41

I love the new Gloucester services, but am very fond of Beaconsfield

daisyswirl · 16/11/2014 16:46

Another for tebay here..had the most fantastic homemade burger there whilst chatting to the mountain rescue team who were fundraising there. There was music on as well..was like a proper day out!

strawberryshoes · 16/11/2014 16:54

Clearly I need to go to Tebay!

M6 Toll was nice when it opened, not been since

Toddington is not too bad

bryonyelf · 16/11/2014 16:58

Southwaite. It is a tradition more than an exceptional service station but we always stop there and have done for 35 years.

Galena · 16/11/2014 17:03

Yep, Tebay and Gloucester here too. In fact, I live about 10 miles from Gloucester and have been known to go in anyway... DD loves the family toilets with a grown up toilet and a child size one in the same room.

Galena · 16/11/2014 17:05

Cairn Lodge just south of Glasgow is not bad either.

SauvignonBlanche · 16/11/2014 17:08

Tebay / Westmoreland by a mile, I love the farm shop!

WooWooOwl · 16/11/2014 17:10

We only discovered Tebay earlier this year, it was like stepping into some kind of service station heaven. I had no idea a services could be so nice and spent most of my trip to Scotland hoping that there was another one southbound.

Clawdy · 16/11/2014 17:12

Another vote for Tebay! A treat to stop off there.

PizzaPasta · 16/11/2014 17:13

Woodal

andsmileitschristmas · 16/11/2014 17:16

Wolley Edge - as Im halfway-isn and can handle the rest from their

andsmileitschristmas · 16/11/2014 17:16

there

IDismyname · 16/11/2014 17:17

I 'almost' want to go to Beaconsfield.

OftheTwilighttheDarkness · 16/11/2014 17:17

I am also a fan of Tebay. I usually take a picnic as it is expensive but it is a lovely spot to stop ( much nicer than Southwaite). We just discovered Annandale Water this year, it is my new favourite. Lots if space for the dog to have a run.

ChunkyPickle · 16/11/2014 17:22

Oh Beaconsfield definitely - the play park and lake and woods around the back for stretching your/kids legs is lovely.

OpenSandwich · 16/11/2014 17:29

I may start a spreadsheet.

Tebay/westmorelands. Only one worth going to!

MillieMoodle · 16/11/2014 17:36

Leigh Delamere (M4) gets my vote! But I also want to visit Tebay now, it sounds great!
Sarn Park is definitely the worst. Never go there. Ever. It will haunt you.

OpenSandwich · 16/11/2014 17:42

Bollocks, traffic is awful. Think we're going to have to hit Charnock Richard
