Letter of permission to travel.

Ds is off on an adventure in a couple of weeks to visit a friend in France.

He is 11 and is travelling with a family friend (different surname). I have been advised that I need to send a letter of permission to travel with him otherwise he will be stopped.

So wise mnetters - what should the letter say and who is it aimed at? Have tried googling but none the wiser!

Thanks

@whojamaflip

Thank you

I only ever spend time on active convos, so wasn't even aware of any thing like that was on the site!Blush

Shock We have LOADS of stuff like this Grin

Thanks for the feedback Sangria - we've had a look and while we've given it a different emphasis (children with different names, rather than children travelling without both parents), the issues involved and the steps to take are pretty similar. (We gave it this emphasis because the threads we'd seen had seemed to concentrate more on the name aspect.) Hopefully the content is useful for both sets of circumstances though.
