Where has a climate of 20 degrees and no rain in August?

Because that's where I want to go for my next holiday. I love the weather we're having at the moment. Last August we were in Portugal and it was much too hot for me and DH couldn't cope either. We are looking at staying in the UK this year, but where else could we go?

Good point, that's something to consider. we don't smoke but don't mind a few glasses of wine.

Try this site, you can search with loads of options - continent, sun, rainfall etc.

You need to eat and drink a lot for if to outweigh the cheaper cost of getting there. So I suggest you investigate flight costs and hotel, apartment costs and weight up the total picture. In Norway you easily pay £7 per glass of wine, cheaper by the bottle. Scandinavian cuisine can be exciting. You can find fusions such as seal lasagna, cured or deep fried whale nuggets rolled in lemon and garlic, alongside sushi of local ingredients an twists, as well as smoked salmon, reindeer, elk, and gorgeous pork and fish dishes. I don't know about Sweden and southern Norway, but vegetarians have limited choice in the north.

Would second vendee although they had a heat wave the year we went in august and we arrived to mid/high 30s! Quite unusual but you are likely to be looking at high 20s I think.
What about northern Australia. Anywhere really but Queensland probably most predictable.

I went to Estonia, St Petersburg, Norway, Copenhagen, Germany, Sweden and Amsterdam on a Baltic cruise last year and all those places were around 20 degrees but obviously there is no garantee of no rain. I have only been to Brittany at the beginning of September but that was also around 20, so could be worth checking out. Another suggestion is costa Brava or Dorada, it's over 20 but not as hot as other parts of Spain.
