Again, don't mean to sound horribly boasty or anything but we're trying to work out how/when to tell our DCs about our 2nd trip. We are all in floods of tears on the last day so am thinking we might tell them on the last day of our next trip, so they won't have to be sad as they know we'll be going back. Not much point telling them now, as they prob won't be excited about a 2nd trip before they've had their 1st.

I've heard that you can do a 'reveal' at the Disney Store (I may even have seen it on this thread?) but I don't what it entails...

BloodyDogHairs · 12/04/2015 15:05

I watched a reveal video on a FB group (IT'S ORLANDO TIME), I'm not a member but I read the posts daily as its a open group tbh I thought the reveal was pretty poor.

What month are you going for the 2nd time?

BloodyDogHairs · 12/04/2015 15:06

*a reveal at the disney store I meant

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 12/04/2015 16:48

We're going next August. Haven't got anything booked yet though. Would SO much prefer to do April/May but really can't do term-time hols any more :(

BloodyDogHairs · 12/04/2015 17:34

What about getting a hamper basket delivered to your villa on the 2nd last day with details of the August holiday? MockingJayServices in Orlando do this.

StrawberryTallCake · 12/04/2015 17:47

Haha Dog I have pointed out the castle at the beginning of disney films and asked her if she wants to go there a lot - every other day. She just doesn't seem to remember long enough to tell her sister.

Jagsy · 12/04/2015 22:07

Strawberry, it's killing me keeping it secret as I really want the kids to be involved in the planning. DH wants to arrive at the airport and the kids to realise as we check in!!

Jagsy · 12/04/2015 22:10

Fxck, we chose OKW for the same reasons as you choosing SsR, the DDP, so that we could do character meals and fantasmic package etc..

Fxckedmywayuptothetop · 12/04/2015 22:28

Have been told is hasnt got as much of a disney feel but I think 14 days at the parks should be enough disney Grin

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 12/04/2015 23:59

Oh Dog, what a gorgeous idea about a parcel announcement!!! I've already got Mockingjay earmarked to deliver our magic bands (SO annoying they can't be delivered to the UK). That's really a fantastic idea.

HermioneWeasley · 13/04/2015 00:39

"Be our guest" restaurant is amazing - highlight of the holiday so far for me. Do whatever it takes to get ADRs.

The festival of fantasy parade is well worth catching too.

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 13/04/2015 00:48

That's great to know, Hermione! I've never been but am hoping for a lunch ADR.

HermioneWeasley · 13/04/2015 01:05

Do it! It was brilliant - put together by people who clearly love the film

StrawberryTallCake · 13/04/2015 07:56

Hermione - what time is that parade and did you do the B&B restaurant for lunch or dinner? It looks lovely!

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 13/04/2015 09:52

Parades are normally 3pm (sometimes 4pm). I haven't been but I have researched the difference between lunch and dinner at Be Our Guest - lunch is MUCH cheaper (less than half the price), you can sit where you want and you order at a counter. Dinner has the Beast there (not sure if all the time?) and it's more 'fine dining' and waiter service. Much mroe expensive. You can also get breakfast there too now but that looks a complete waste of money to me.

BloodyDogHairs · 13/04/2015 12:20

Magic Bands......I'm really annoyed they don't do plain purple ones Sad

Jagsy · 13/04/2015 13:02

Hermione, we have never been to BOG and will be trying to get an ADR as my booking date is on 20th April! Which time did you book for? I am on DDP and hope that there are some slots available..

Jagsy · 13/04/2015 13:24

Lucas' how lovely a second trip! Dog's parcel idea is fab. Also a card from Mickey posted to your house inviting them to visit him?

HermioneWeasley · 13/04/2015 20:18

We had a 1pm lunch reservation for BOG then A 2.30-3.30 fast pass for Belle and were out in time for 3pm parade

HermioneWeasley · 14/04/2015 01:44

Had a brilliant day at Islands of Adventure. Harry potter and the forbidden journey is just amazing - spectacular, don't miss it! The park was quiet compared to Disney parks last week, and we used our express passes and covered thr whole park by 5 including doing favourites a second time.

Really looking forward to diagon alley tomorrow!

HermioneWeasley · 14/04/2015 02:06

Ok, MNetters, here's a question for you. We could do a morning in the parks on Friday before our flight home, but have to be out of villa by 10am and nowhere to store bags. Our car has a tiny boot, so need to lie the last row of seats flat to get suitcases in, and they would be visible if anyone looked in the car. Would you risk parking the car with suitcases in, in a Disney car park (probably epcot)?

The alternative is to use downtown Disney virgin Check in, but that way we have to spend the morning in our travelling clothes as we won't see the cases again, and I'll be nervous that they didn't make it to the airport. The downtown option also costs $40 if that would affect anyone's decision making!

Thoughts please! Is there an option I haven't thought of?

chairmeoh · 14/04/2015 02:17

Hmm. Of the two options I think I'd do the Downtown Virgin check-in. Take backpack with travel clothes in and store them in the park lockers and take on flight as hand luggage.

We went to Orlando Premium Outlet today. Gap was full of bargains. Other shops were a bit hit and miss regarding bargains, I guess the current poor exchange rate doesn't help.

Went to Denny's for a late breakfast. I'm going to miss yummy pancake breakfasts!

Off to magic kingdom tomorrow. We haven't done any of the parades or fireworks yet, and haven't been able to book fast passes for these - do you think we'll be wasting our time and not be able to see anything?

HermioneWeasley · 14/04/2015 02:25

We turned up of the festival of fantasy parade 5 mins before and got a good spot. For the fireworks, they are designed to be seen so you won't have any problems. Remember when leaving the Magic kingdom after fireworks that the resort monorail does actually stop at the car park as well as usually has a much shorter q.

We went to Denny's the other day - th pecan and banana pancakes were great!

BloodyDogHairs · 14/04/2015 10:05

I think the cases will be safe left in the car, we usually make the last day a shopping day Walmart (snacks for the plane) and the malls. Really just so it's somewhere indoors with A/C. I'm always to tired to face another park on the last day before the stress of the airport starts.

BloodyDogHairs · 14/04/2015 10:07

I've got a Dennys right next door to my hotel when go Grin
