Eeek found a table Grin booking in now which means I'm going to get a transaction fee that I didn't want but can't risk losing my table.

StrawberryTallCake · 17/03/2015 19:42

Yeahhh, you'll be pleased you did it!!! I'll be there only a couple of weeks after you!!

BloodyDogHairs · 17/03/2015 19:49

All booked Smile if its rubbish I'm blaming you lol

StrawberryTallCake · 17/03/2015 19:51

Ha! I'm confident. Wink What else have you got booked?

BloodyDogHairs · 17/03/2015 20:36

I've posted my planner a few posts back but basically we're doing all the disney park's, Orlando eye, sea life center and Madam tussauds. I've sorted the memory maker for the parks, reserved tables at T-Rex DTD and Rain Forrest cafe at AK. I'm still trying to get over the cost of Mickeys bbq Grin

What are your plan's?

StrawberryTallCake · 17/03/2015 20:59

Sorry, I should read back. What is the Orlando eye? I haven't sorted our memory maker yet.

I've booked Teppan Edo at Epcot, Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique followed by Cinderella's Royal Table, a breakfast at Hollywood & Vine at Hollywood Studios (because my 2 year old will lose it if she gets to meet Doc McStuffins), Yak & Yeti at AK which we've been to before and does lovely food and then Hollywood Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios on the final night before fantasmic as I think it's better than the MK fireworks.

We'll do Sea World and US too but the kiddies are a bit small to appreciate US but will love the minions and Dr Seuss.

We're renewing our vows too (totally outing myself) at our villa and I haven't told anyone yet but I've secretly arranged some synchronised swimmers to come and swim to our favourite song after the renewal. Grin

Need to look at DTD we went last time and ate at a lovely Italian restaurant over the water.

StrawberryTallCake · 17/03/2015 20:59

(and of course the backyard bbq)

BloodyDogHairs · 17/03/2015 21:17

Can I gatecrash your holiday? it sounds amazing! Re-newing wedding vows too wow such amazing memory's.

Orlando eye is just basically the London eye, it's opening on I-drive in May along with sealife center and madam tussauds.

Have you ever been to Green meadows petting farm? its great for wee ones and it's nice to escape the manic pace of the parks.

StrawberryTallCake · 17/03/2015 21:38

If you were there a couple of weeks later I'd invite you Grin

I've not been to the petting farm, dc's would love that! I'm being very careful to have rest days and home for the afternoon out for the evening so we can all have a nap but I have been looking for things to do which aren't so disney centric so will have a look now, thank you!

BloodyDogHairs · 18/03/2015 08:24

strawberry After reading reviews I'm abit worried about getting to the BBQ......what is the easiest option? we have a car but the reviews are mentioning buses or the boat at MK Confused

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 18/03/2015 09:35

Remind me about booking ADRs online - do you have to link a card to your MDE account to get the booking? Or can you put a credit card down for the booking without linking it?

I've heard a lot of good things about the BBQ but it's quite expensive :( I would do it but we're already paying quite a few $$ for MNSSHP.

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 18/03/2015 09:41

Oops, I missed a whole page of posts before replying!

Strawberry, your holiday sounds lovely! (especially Teppan Edo - I've always wanted to try there!) Congrats on the wedding vow renewal.

Well done on getting the BBQ ADR, DogHairs! Oh, I said I would get back to you about how much Memory Make cost - got the bill the other day and it was £111.94. The other thing I'm having to pay out for is the Keys to the Kingdom tour at MK. it'll be a surprise b'day present for my Dad and DH and I'll go too so thta's 3 x $80 Shock

BloodyDogHairs · 18/03/2015 11:28

When I reserved tables for T-rex and rainforest cafe it used my card details that I had previously entered for Memory Maker. As soon as my new post office visa card arrives I'm going to add that to it too incase I impluse book anything else Grin but it did give a option to use another card.

I'm excited about the BBQ, I just hope you don't need id for the dc's when I pick my ticket up as I put my 3yr old down as 2 Blush he'll be 3yr and 2 months.

BloodyDogHairs · 18/03/2015 11:29

It's all the "extras" that make going to florida EXPENSIVE!

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 18/03/2015 11:42

Ah, so it probably saves your card details then, even if you don't link a card. Thanks.

Extras are awkward here as my parents are paying (we are spending our inheritance early, LOL!) so it seems odd for us to say 'we are skint and can't pay for anything but we ARE just going to spend £200 on a Halloween party... Grin

StrawberryTallCake · 18/03/2015 18:19

Bloody hmmm I seem to remember getting a boat from somewhere and I remember walking through the resort past a pool, sorry not sure exactly the logistics but I'd better find out too!

Lucas yes we've never been there either, I think it'll be fun for everyone!

I'm really really (sadly) looking forward to buffalo wild wings, DH and I will have a night off whilst my dm looks after the children to have a wings and beer fest.

BloodyDogHairs · 19/03/2015 16:18

Can I ask one more dumbass question Grin .....on emails it says to pick up dinner tickets at a Walt Disney World Resort Concierge Desk, does this mean I need to pop into one of their hotels etc or could I visit guest relations in the theme parks and collect from there?

ChestyNut · 19/03/2015 16:40

Hi all

185 sleeps!!

lucas I love DC and may have booked a 2nd non swim day today Blush
Where do they sell the trail mix? In Walmart?
When do MNSSHP tickets get released?

strawberry personal synchronised swimmers sounds amazing!

BloodyDogHairs · 19/03/2015 19:33

Right seriously STOP with the Discovery Cove posts! Yous are putting ideas in my head that maybe I should book tickets as a surprise for us me

I visited DC way back in 2006 and still have fond memories of the place slightly tainted after watching blackfish tho Grin

I'm on 80 days now Shock

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 19/03/2015 19:40

Hi Chesty! You can buy trail mix in any supermarket but the one I was talking about is the one they have in Discovery Cove. I'm not sure what brand it is but it is delicious. I think DC is great value bearing in mind that it includes a ticket to SeaWorld and Acquatica (and Busch, for a few $$ more).

I have heard that the MNSSHP tickets go on sale around May time. They have announced the party dates but not the ticket sale dates.

Wow, 80 days, DogHairs, that's coming round quickly! I've never heard of a dinner ticket, I'm afraid so no idea about that.

BloodyDogHairs · 19/03/2015 19:53

Sorry by dinner I meant Mickeys backyard bbq Blush

I love BG but everytime we've went something has gone wrong, the 1st time (before sat nav) we got lost for hours on the way back to the villa, another time I started to get a urine infection (must go to the toilet on the plane more often) and last year the thunder storms kept coming and going so only managed 3 rides before we headed back to the hotel Sad and I wanted to ride the new Falcons fury but it was delayed in opening so never managed that.

ChestyNut · 19/03/2015 19:54

I know lucas I may have eaten a bag or six

bloody it's fantabulous! I highly recommend it, if you like water etc. it's like paradise! We swam with dolphin, snorkeled with Rays and tropical fish and lounged in the pool with a cocktail!

Do it Grin

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 19/03/2015 21:05

No, you made sense, DogHairs! I knew you meant the BBQ dinner but I didn't know that you got tickets for it... I'm sure you could go to Guest Relations though. If you can go to any concierge rather than a specific one then it implies it's something they can print off anywhere.

I'm not a fan of Busch Gdns at all. I really don't like thrill rides and I couldn't give a stuff about animals tbh :) The plan is for DH to take DS and then DD and I will go somewhere else that day. When did you go last year? I wonder if we were there around the same time, as my dad was also looking fwd to Falcons Fury but it was delayed. We went last May.

Discovery Cove is a highlight of the holiday for me. It's so nice to have a break from the craziness of it all. And I love not being designated driver on that day :) I did the dolphin swim once and it was ok but we always do non-swim now. The Grand Reef is about my favourite thing in the entire world :)

BloodyDogHairs · 20/03/2015 10:02

We were the last two weeks of june last year Smile

I'm just about to send my PIL a message to tell them how much they owe for the Bbq now it's showed up on my statement........they will probably die of shock considering last year all they did was moan about the price of food in the parks. I'm actually considering have a moan jar and whoever moans/says I'm bored about my plans will be putting a dollar in Grin

annadina · 21/03/2015 18:20

I'd forgotten all about this thread - was on it last year, and we're going again this year in 4 days time! Have finished the excited about it stage, and have now entered the 'oh fuck, lots of things to do before we go' phase. Can't wait to get off that plane and feel the heat!
