I am using the website, not the app,but yes it will show up in website version of MDE. My phone battery has run out so I can't check if it's in the app but I will do tomorrow. I think it was under 'Reservations and Tickets' but did take several hours to show. Check that it's there because if it isn't, the site says you need to do something.

Hmmm, I'm not sure about that fastpass/child swap thing - I can see how it would work like that on some rides but I seem to remember being asked for FPs for everyone before. Great point though and I'll investigate that as it could come in handy to have spare FPs!

BloodyDogHairs · 11/03/2015 22:51

phew its on the website, thankgod for that!

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 12/03/2015 19:26

My Memory Maker card arrived today! I didn't realise I was going to get one as it said it's delivered electronically but I'm pleased to have a card so that others in our party can have it...

BloodyDogHairs · 12/03/2015 20:29

Yay hopefully mine won't be far behind Grin

BloodyDogHairs · 14/03/2015 08:26

That's my memory maker charge on my statement £112.50 plus £3.32 transaction charge Shock

I plan on having the childrens photos taken at every opportunity to get my moneys worth Grin

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 14/03/2015 18:03

Was the transaction charge from Disney? I know lots of credit card companies charge a foreign transaction fee but I'll be pee'd off if Disney add a charge!

I'm sure you know already as I think you've been more often than I have but do you know about magic shots? They're really fun :)

BloodyDogHairs · 15/03/2015 13:34

It was a non-sterling transaction fee Sad that's 3 fees I've had now from buying things in advance!

I've only just discovered the magic shot, I stumbled across what it was while I was looking for info for the Memory Maker. I'm so looking forward to seeing my pics after we have them taken.

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 15/03/2015 13:42

We got a credit card that has no foreign transaction fees to use for Florida or any payjemnts in a foreing currency - might be worth getting one if you're planning to use a credit card when you're there. I only know of two - a Post Office one and the Halifax Clarity one (both are free). We got £25 cashback just for applying for the Post Office card so that's a few roudns of cocktails by the Universal hotel pool paid for :)

BloodyDogHairs · 15/03/2015 14:03

I'll check out the Post Office credit card, I usually do a massive shop at Walmart on the 1st day and stick it on a card and again anything that we buy at the mall, Converse etc

I'm thinking of asking my MIL if she wants to put money towards the memory maker and I'll link her to it aswell but she thinks things like that are a waste of money lol

BloodyDogHairs · 15/03/2015 14:13

Are you staying at Universal for the duration of your holiday? or just for one night to get the fast passes?

BloodyDogHairs · 15/03/2015 16:00

Right PO card applied for Smile

All I need to do now is write a shopping list for Walmart lol 85 days to go but I like to be organised! I spoke to Thomsons yesterday and was told I can take my double buggy for free but the carseats will be weighed so only taking 1 car seat for the 1yr old and putting the 3yr old in a booster.

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 15/03/2015 16:04

My dad is the same about MM - I made the mistake of telling him how much it cost, oops :)

We're staying in a villa but are going to Universal for 2 nights. We stayed at Universal for one night last time we went, for the passes, and it was the highlight of the holiday so we're staying for 2 nights this time! Seems a bit crazy, paying for a hotel for 2 nights when the villa is already paid for but it was just wonderful and I can't see us ever doing Orlando any other way now,

LOL at you writing the shopping list already :) I'm the same - I already know what I want to buy and we've got over 200 days to go Grin I will prob write a list in advance but I also like doing it on the plane - we hand the list around the family and it's something to get excited about.

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 15/03/2015 16:07

Litre bottles of Mondavi Chardonnay, frozen cocktail sachets, Chips Ahoy... Grin

Anyone else going to Discovery Cove? I can't wait for that.

HermioneWeasley · 15/03/2015 16:07

We are on countdown! fpasses booked, Restaurants booked, ESTA s sorted, cash ordered.

Another vote for the Halifax clarity card here, always use for foreign currency transactions

HermioneWeasley · 15/03/2015 16:08

Lucas, jealous of discovery Cove. oh is boycotting seaworld so we're not allowed to go. Went years ago and it was brilliant, enjoy!

HermioneWeasley · 15/03/2015 16:09

Anyone want to share their shopping list?

BloodyDogHairs · 15/03/2015 16:50

I did Discovery Cove a few years back, amazing place. Everything is so peaceful.....I did get whacked on the leg by a dolphin which was rather painfulGrin

My shopping list is nothing exciting just boring old juice, water, nappies etc. We tend to run round walmart thinking that everything is for free haha and have a heart attack at the till.

BloodyDogHairs · 15/03/2015 16:52

When do you go weasley ?

HermioneWeasley · 15/03/2015 17:28

"Weasley"?! I feel like I'm back at school being addressed by surnameM Grin

We're there over Easter hols, how about you Dog?

BloodyDogHairs · 15/03/2015 17:39

haha it was easier to spell the last bit of your username Blush

June 8th for me, I really wanted xmas time but flights stop from Scotland in November and I couldn't have driven to Manchester with 4 Dc's for a longhaul flight.

HermioneWeasley · 15/03/2015 18:03

June will be brilliant - much quieter than Xmas.

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 15/03/2015 18:39

Ooooh, Hermione, that's coming round really quickly! Can you report back and tell us how bad the crowds are over Easter? In future we'll have to go in Easter hols or Xmas hols and I'm a bit worried about it!

I adore discovery Cove - it's half having a relaxing day after the craziness of Disey/Universal and half the constant 'free' food and drink Grin OMG, their Trail Mix... we bought 19 packets home with us last time We did a dolphin swim once but won't be doing it again. I showed Blackfish to DD and she wants to boycott SeaWorld this time round but says she won't boycott DC :)

StrawberryTallCake · 15/03/2015 18:43

Just saw this thread, hope you don't mind the interruption! We're booked for the end of June for 20 days, I'm ridiculously excited.

We've booked a villa and a chef to come and cook for a couple of days - she buys food for when we arrive and makes a cooked meal for that night, breakfast for the morning and lunch for the parks. I would love for people to share their shopping lists as I don't know what to ask for!!

HermioneWeasley · 15/03/2015 19:39

Lucas I know! I'm sure crowds will be horrendous but I will let you know. I've done DLP in oct half term when UK and French schools are both out and park was so busy you coukd hardly move, so I'm hoping it wont be any worse than that!

By the way, do you really think the most interesting thing about Lucas North is his taste in party snacks?

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 15/03/2015 20:48

Hi Strawberry, welcome! A chef - what a fantastic idea! I will try and find my shopping list from last time but it's basically snacks and litre bottles of Chardonnay :)

Hermione, if you're able to do rope-drop and you get your FPs in advance then I'm sure you will be fine. We go with people for whom rope drop is anathema though :)

LOL about the party snacks Grin It's an in-joke from another thread but suffice it to say that his Twiglets don't refer to party snacks. You know when you just really fancy a nibble of something? Well look at those cute, pointy little ears They're his Twiglets Grin
