Private Villas with pool in Spain?? Where in Spain?

Hi all.
Well we've never been further than Ireland with the girls. We usually go to Haven typoe places as dd1 loves them but after a disastrous weekend there recently we have decided that this sumeer, before the third baby arrives, a week in Spain would be lovely.
We would like a Private villa with pool so the girls have total freedom and control and also so i won't have to bera my bodyGrin
SO, i don't mind if we're not in a town but a beach would be nice close by (but not a neccessity) and at least a little shop. Obviously don't car about bars but a restaurant would be a plus.

Any ideas?
Also would the weather be nice at the end of June?

He's on the phone as we speak. (He's in London at the moment so we've done all this over the phone)

He'd come at 7 to do the cleaning and water the plants, might as well let him do it, he was always very discreet about it.

the pool area has loads of shade, a covered patio and a big tree, don't worry. The garden also has mature trees in it (fig and orange amongst others :))

Depends where you going to go in Spain but it was about 26 some days in Majorca and my 18 month old wasn't that impressed - it was a nightmare too with the steps and the pool - not reall ymuch of a relaxing holiday all in all - I would if I were you go back to Ireland and save to have a great holiday when they older - we aren't going anywhere on a plane or again till DS at least 4 after his behaviour this time anyay.

I know some people go and really like the break and have a great time but I found all of the travelling really stressful and nothing relaxing about the experience what so ever - we off to holiday park in Dorset in August instead where we can go to Farmer Palmers and Monkey World and hopefully not be too stressed.

Sure lots of people find it loads of fun but it really wasn't for me!!

Geekgrrl, it's reserced for us but she said to check out flights to Jerez airport, looks alot closer too?

Twinkie, have my heart set on it now, geekgrrl is a good sellerGrin

yes, Jerez is much closer (under 1 hour), there aren't any flights to it from us locally but if you can go there it's a lot better than Malaga.

Angeliz · 26/04/2006 12:20

No none from here either.
Dp is checking Gibralta.

Angeliz - where are you flying from? We went to Seville which wasn't too bad but had to fly from Gatwick. Ryanair fly to Jerez.

Hazellnut · 26/04/2006 12:37

We went right near here 2 years ago - its a lovely unspoilt area - beautiful beaches... We flew to malaga which wasn't too bad but we didn't have children at the time (apart from in my tummy - Grin.

Angeliz · 26/04/2006 12:41

We'' be flying from either Newcastle or Teeside.
Hazellnut, greatGrin

DP is trying to get best flights. We can go to Jerez from Stansted but it would be alot moe stress this end imo to do that!

it's not too bad from Malaga if you stick to the toll roads - we've done it in 2 hours before but then dh likes to go fast. There is a place with Roman ruins on the way \link{http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baelo_Claudia(Baelo Claudia at Bolonia)} which is really good to stop off at if you want to break the journey up a bit, well worth a visit. We went on Sunday, had a one hour walk around and then lunch almost on the beach there before carrying on to Malaga.

Angeliz · 26/04/2006 19:27

Oh that's a good site too Jools.

We booked the one geekgrrl recommended as there was a week free exactly when we were hoping for.
I will be 30 weeks pregnant so am going to get a note from Doctor just incase Easyjet get funny.
We had to choose Malaga in the end as it was that or a journey to Stansted which i definately didn't want. One flight a day is enough with 2 under 5 i think.

I am already started to think.........will dd's be able to drink the water? Will they like it? Am i too impulsive? But am SO excited it's unreal.Grin

Haven't been abroad in years!
Geekgrrl, any good tips more for me?
You are a star by the way and i'll mention you to the owner when we get there. +
