We are off to DisneyWorld next year and I am already really excited about it. Anyone else? I'd love to compare notes on what you are doing to prepare. I'm starting to think about how to do a big surprise for the DC when we tell them we are going.

Glad your dd is fine Zkinky. Fingers crossed nothing else pops up x

Packing shall start soon

Called Disney after reading about fridge issues did say aware a lot will be saying medical need for a fridge ( only way guaranteeing ATM) but I really do need one or access to one long as they can store some stuff in one dont care where in hotel said fridge is located

They were very good and said as adapted room and i already had dicussed about storing/arranging delivery of feed stuff for ds3 they presumed I would need access to one and its already on there

TheHumancatapult · 25/07/2013 08:35

Kinky

Everything crossed . When do you go?

KinkyDorito · 25/07/2013 20:20

2nd August. Have an awful lot to sort out. Feeling a bit anxious about it all - I've done all the organising.

Groovee · 25/07/2013 21:02

Great big breath and breathe out! It's going to be fine.

holidaybug · 25/07/2013 21:09

Haven't read the rest of the thread but we are just back from Florida. Bear in mind that if there are thunderstorms, the attractions at water parks will close and the park itself may close if the storm doesn't ease. So check your forecasts before you plan your day.

We have been to Disney several times now and the early bird definitely catches the worm so don't adjust to the time difference too quickly and get to the parks as they open.

KinkyDorito · 26/07/2013 09:56

Thanks Groovee.

holiday I was thinking back to when we went in 2005 which was a great holiday - but when I really remember, we had rain that forced closure of rides/attractions several times over that holiday. I'm really hoping it's not too bad.

I've got quite a lot of flexibility in my plan as there's many places we probably won't bother with and we need a lot of rest time written in. I think Disney will definitely be our main hang out, and I'm praying we get good weather for the Discovery Cove day (2 weeks today).

In one week, we will be at the airport. I can't believe how fast it's come around. I just hope DD manages it and we don't end up in hospital over there.

Groovee · 26/07/2013 15:09

We had what we considered a lot of rain our first week but we still made it round IOA and Magic Kingdom. The other heavy rain coincided with shopping so wasn't as bad. But we did fine. And every day showed thunderstorms. But it was mostly 30% chance if you looked properly.

I'd recommend anyone with an iphone or ipod to download fox35weather. It was spot on for our holiday.

Positive health vibes Kinky xxx

Thanks Groovee Smile

We arrived on Wednesday night, been to seaworld & magic kingdom.

Been about 93 today & not a cloud in the sky!

TheHumancatapult · 27/07/2013 01:40

Fingers crossed kinky .hokey glad hour enjoying the weather

Ok opinions please . We're staying PoFq have the dining plan but is it worth me ordering things from garden grocer like water etc ?

KinkyDorito · 27/07/2013 08:21

I was wondering this too - can you order online from them?

TheHumancatapult · 27/07/2013 08:35

Yes kinky and pay before you go to which appeals to me .but wondering if we really need as have a snack /qsdp and a ts each day . But then again don't want be spending money buying drinks at the park either

Groovee · 27/07/2013 09:28

We picked up water from walmart which was 30 bottles for $4. I also bought some diet pepsi. Dh got some beer. When we went in 2007 we did the same, as you could only get coke in the food courts and I hate coke. Minute maid light is nice. I hate lemon but found this to be a really good refreshing drink in the parks. But always handy to have water. Garden Grocer will deliver to reception and reception will look after it until you check in.

TheHumancatapult · 27/07/2013 10:56

Thank you

Won't have access to car and buses touch hassle with two wheelchairs so garden grocer it is I reckon just need work out rough idea

Is it worth grabbing some snack stuff just in case as mine like nibble odd times

Online shopping it shall be then . One less thing to worry about

Groovee · 27/07/2013 12:05

Things like the packets of goldfish crackers and the oreo packs were handy for us. The kids loved them as a snack and you could take them to the parks too.

KinkyDorito · 28/07/2013 12:08

If I'd have known we could do this before, I'd have ordered all toiletries to be delivered and sun lotion!

Groovee · 28/07/2013 12:16

You still can can't you Kinky?

holidaybug · 28/07/2013 12:18

It was only the water parks that were affected by the storms when we were there. Not the theme parks.

Groovee · 28/07/2013 12:50

They closed Universal's outside rides on our visit Holidaybug. It went on for about an hour and a PA announcement told us that they were closing the rides because it was so close. The lighting was practically right next to us at one point. Was quite scary.

KinkyDorito · 28/07/2013 12:57

I've bought them all already Groovee and won't use that much sun lotion over here! Just take them with us. At least I can leave stuff behind at the end. Smile

3monkeys · 28/07/2013 12:57

Can I join in at the last minute?! We go a week tomorrow. Staying inFort Wilderness in a lodge. Flying on Dreamliner (eek!) and I am getting really nervous.

KinkyDorito · 28/07/2013 12:58

Busch Gardens was closed down for a storm whilst we were in there last time and when they finally restarted the rides, they left the roller coasters shut down.

Groovee · 28/07/2013 13:00

Ah bum Kinky, I always buy over there now. Got some lovely melon bubble bath from the Dollar Tree. Welcome Monkey, not long to go Grin.

Just been thinking, we were evacuated from Universal in 2007 as well!

TheHumancatapult · 28/07/2013 13:42

Hi monkey

Kinky I only found from reading the Dibb

Hmm I'm hoping no storms that do that when we go but expecting sone rain but can't believe how fast its coming around now
