We are off to DisneyWorld next year and I am already really excited about it. Anyone else? I'd love to compare notes on what you are doing to prepare. I'm starting to think about how to do a big surprise for the DC when we tell them we are going.

Groove how exciting ate you packed yet

Groovee · 08/06/2013 15:10

Not packed yet. Keep getting flaming work but all clothes are in a drawer which is now bulging.

Went shopping today and got 2 dresses. Tried on the 16 and my friend told me oh no. Tried on the 14, just perfect!!! So delighted.

My cash dollars arrived today.

TheHumancatapult · 09/06/2013 09:12

New holiday clothes yay

As we're going at end of uk summer tbh ill probably not buy anything new as no point so if be kids back to school and mad washing and packing session

Groovee · 09/06/2013 10:30

I spent time putting our car parking cash into envelopes for 13 days. I think all I have to do now is find a rucksack for ds to carry. Am wondering if he should take mine and I'll just take a handbag. My kindle, iphone fits in and that's all that matters.

We're into the teens now. 19 days and counting.

TheHumancatapult · 09/06/2013 10:58

Oooo I'm hoping get some $this week but seems bills keep arriving

Groovee · 09/06/2013 17:21

Emptied the kids money jar today. Got $105 for it, so £52.50 for each of them towards spends.

Groovee · 11/06/2013 13:48

Bought our underwear today GrinGrinGrin

Need to do a roll call of clothes and pack SmileSmile

You all sound just so organised that I feel I must pick your brains and collective knowledge! We are booked on our first ever trip to Florida for 10 days over October half term. Flights booked, Disney hotel booked, 14 day Disney ticket booked, comes with free quick dining plan.

Have looked on the Dibb forum but feel rather overwhelmed by how organised everyone is. It's like they have 10 pages of A4 notes for each day of their holiday.

What should I be doing about booking meals/events etc? Our last full day is Hallowe'en so imagine it will be mega busy that day. Anyone got any easy tips?

DCs are 10 and 8 yrs.

PickledMoomin · 12/06/2013 19:34

Has anybody thought about the queue jump ticket for universal? It would be around £150 for us for one day. Is it worth it? DS is only 3. Would he need one? Does it include all the rides?

Groovee · 12/06/2013 20:14

You can book your ADR's online at Disney Dining

I'd advise looking to see what parks you want to do and plan that way. But just noticed you are on quick service dining so you won't need to book. Are you considering the Halloween party nights at Magic Kingdom? If you are staying on site, look at the park hours for when you are there and use the extra magic hours to get more done. Remember to include rest days.

Pickled I keep considering staying in a universal hotel for a night for the front of line passes, but I'm still not 100%. Last time we went, we barely had to queue. Think your 3 year old if he has a ticket then you will probably have to pay for one. You'd be best checking on the universal site.

I'm in meltdown. I need my holiday. Brownies was like I was talking a different language.

PickledMoomin · 12/06/2013 20:56

Too many considerations again!

If we stay a night at universal, do we automatically get the extra magic hour and the unlimited 2 park pass for one day? We have a two week ticket to universal. Does it matter that we wouldn't be booking the hotel and tickets together?

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 13/06/2013 10:25

We have brought the fast pass at universal and will do again if queues are long - it's well worth the money if they are.

PickledMoomin · 13/06/2013 17:45

I've booked a universal hotel for one night. It worked out at £150ish and will mean we can have unlimited express passes on the day we check and the following day. We will also get an extra magic hour.

TheHumancatapult · 14/06/2013 03:47

Not that organised at all but did read loads can not wait

Groove how is excitement levels hope you are packed by now

Groovee · 14/06/2013 07:11

14 sleeps... 2 weeks. Didn't manage packing. Woke up at 4am, had a full day at work then dd's drama show which didn't start until 8.45pm!!! I had to go to bed lol.

Am considering booking the Blue Man Group... is it too late for us?

Groovee · 15/06/2013 08:29

1 week 6 days. Sounds so much better than 13 days Grin

PickledMoomin · 15/06/2013 09:25

I think we are on 59!

Am worrying about how full on it's going to be. Going to try and move things around to allow rest days but I want to make the most of our passes...

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 15/06/2013 12:16

Jealous yours is so soon!!

38 days for us!!!

Groovee · 15/06/2013 19:24

I've packed. I've lost ds's pj's and the toothbrushes I bought. At least I now know what's missing.

Groovee · 15/06/2013 20:52

I've found ds's PJ's, Dd put them somewhere safe.

Groovee · 16/06/2013 13:14

Found the toothbrushes and decided to buy front of line passes for universal for the one day. Means we can do all the big rides and I don't have to if I don't want to.

Kids got 90 dollars off Granny so they have 120 dollars each :-)

Groovee · 17/06/2013 12:16

I've booked open dated Blue Man Group Tickets. Excited. Only 11 days now. Talking to myself on here too Grin

AhsataN · 17/06/2013 18:03

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 17/06/2013 19:22

OMG Groovee that is soooooo close!!

I have booked some more bits, The Sci Fi Diner in Hollywood Studios and the Coral Reef in Epcot!

Too excited!

PickledMoomin · 17/06/2013 20:48
