TENERIFE

Well, i am heading back to Tenerife, the reef, the red rock, whatever else people call the island after being 'home' in the uk for 10 days.

I have lived on the island for almost 4 years and have a small childcare buisness, so i have seen many of the hotels and apartments there so if you are thinking to visit this wonderful island with year round sun and good temperatures and need hotel recommendations or advice or what there is to do around the island them do not hesitate to ask.

Another thing that Tenerife has that many people do not know about is there are 3 iceland supermarkets so you can get all of your 'home from home' goods including babycare.

Happy holidays to you all.

OK, firstly, i am so sorry to not have got back to your comments and questions sooner. I have been cut out with my work.

OK- Pugsandseals- i have to be honest with you and say that i am not very knoledgable when it comes to the North of Tenerife as usually all of my work comes from families staying in the south.
what i would suggest is that you go onto the trip advisor Tenerife forum and ask your question there as i know a few of the people who reply on there live in North Tenerife and would be able to answer your question much better than i. I am so sorry i could not be more help with that.

JoJomummy- Yes, you are spot on when you say that the temps will be around 20c if you get a cloudy day in Feb.
This time of year can be a little tempremental weatherwise. Yesterday for example was lovely and hot and around 24c but today it is cloudy and just hitting 20c.
if you are looking at either of the princess hotels though, that area is a good area for being warmer. I was down that way last night bowling and it was a big difference to where i live up in San Miguel.

There is not much difference at all between the 2 princess hotels. They are also back to back with eachother so you can see one from the other.
both are lovely with evening entertainment each evening including a kids disco followed by an award ceremony, giving certificates and medals to the children who participated in the games in the kids club that day.

The pools are stunning but not sure if heated or not and you are almost right on the beach which has a load to do, mini golf, family bike hire, inflatables in the ocean and many bars, restaurants and a shopping centre.

Siam park is, as secretsquirrels 16 year old said is awesome!!!
loads of rides and a great lazy river that has some rapids rurther along. It is great.

The other waterpark is aqualand and that also has some great rides (not as many as siam) but also has a dolphin show every day at 3pm which to me is amazing. I have been so many times now and still get a lump in my throat when i see them.

i hope this helps somewhat. Please let me know if there is anything else you want to know.

Lisa.

Hi Lisa, hoping you see this.

Have booked to go to atlantida bungalows in Los Cristianos all inclusive but the reviews are terrible.

Am waiting to find out if we have been moved to cristian sur but if it is not possible I am thinking of cancelling it and starting the search all over again.

Do you have any knowledge of the atlantida complex? Clutching at straws hoping it's not as bad as I have read.
