We have been to disneyland paris booked indepentantly. We also stayed in the holiday inn.It saved us over £400 pounds in the May half term. You can buy your passes there. We bought yearly passes as they were as cheap as a 4 day pass. The passes then gave 10% discount on food. They dont advertise the passess in the Uk.Search for annual passess. There are 2 types. One where you can enter the park on 320 days a year. That is the one I bought as the dates we were staying were not resticted. You also got 10% discount in the shops.Holiday inn was fine.nice and clean bus ran every 10 mins to park.

Try PierreetVacances the one at Val d'Europe.

We stayed there last year for a week and it was great. Going again this year!

We travelled over by Euro Tunnel and bought our tickets for Disneyland at the Disney Store before going. Seemed to be cheaper and saved time once we got there.

marbeth · 11/01/2006 10:36

Just checked we bought fantasy passports cost 119 euros about £84 pounds. You get 10% discount if you buy 3 and 15% discount if you buy 4.

Also arranged our travel independently (in August 2005) and stayed at Holiday Inn, and saved we think about £400. Disney tickets are always cheaper at Disney stores, though they sometimes run out so its a good idea to get them as soon as poss. Holiday Inn was v good. Pool is good. Rooms are fine. Food is awful but its awful everywhere at Disney!

Janbo25 · 11/01/2006 12:00

when you say disney stores can you buy the tickets at any disney store in this country then?? what pass did you go for?

We just had two day passes - and yes, you can get them at any Disney store, but phone first to be sure they have them!

Janbo25 · 12/01/2006 09:10

Does anyone know whether you can still get the annual passes??

We booked it seperatly, being in Scotland the ryan air flights are cheaper then the suppliments they add. We booked Sequoia Lodge direct with DLP and seemed to be the best price.

There are direct buses from the main airports to DLP, but not from Beuvais if going with Ryanair, I paniced and hired a car rather than trying to negotiate, a bus then a couple of trains. Saying that it can be done.

Hiya. went to holiday inn at disney in september, had great time, we thought the food was pretty good and disney itself was really lovely. would def go back

Skribble · 12/01/2006 16:33

If you can go in January there are lots of good deals inc free kids and 3 for 2 type offers if staying onsite. I found it was just as cheap to get a package onsite that included passes than booking seperately and staying off site.

crunchie · 12/01/2006 16:36

Skribble a quick question, what was sequioa lodge like? We are going there in March for 4 nights

Skribble · 12/01/2006 16:40

It was fine, we were in the main building, there are other buildings you have to walk outside to, can be a bit of a trek I think especially with kids in rubbish weather.

Nice atmosphere in the reception area with the big fire and log effect everywhere. Usual lobby shop and breakfasts, buffet style with yogurts, cold meat, cereal etc. Fill you hand bag for lunc time .

Skribble · 12/01/2006 16:42

Meant to say rooms were fine as far as i can remember, the usual 2 double beds. Can't remember much else never in apart from to sleep. So nothing bad either or I would remember .

crunchie · 12/01/2006 16:51

Did you go to the pool?

chocolatemummy · 12/01/2006 16:54

holiday inn rooms were lovely and bufffet breakfats was just about everything you could imagine hot and cold, english and continental. we booked package thought Thomas Cook Signiture and got four nights for cost of three and three day passes for all disney areas, it was a real bargain

Skribble · 12/01/2006 17:01

Never made it in to the pool, unless you have been before to DLP or are there for about 7 days you really won't have time, to much to see.

Breakfast then not back until the park shuts.

crunchie · 12/01/2006 17:03

Not been before and are planning to spend one day in Paris. Wego on teh Thursday and come home Monday eve, so we thought Sunday in Paris would be great

chocolatemummy · 12/01/2006 17:11

yeah scribbe is right, so much to see and do you need all day and few of them, but we went for five days and four night we managed to go to Paris one day and do some shopping another day but disney is masssive and get a good pocket guide else you just miss so much

Skribble · 12/01/2006 17:19

My kids love Paris, we gave the choice of DLP and paris for the day or Paris and DLP for the day they choose Paris. The Cite science museum is brilliant with loads to see and do esp the hands on kids bit.

LIZS · 12/01/2006 17:26

We have only booked it independently not as a package. Stayed at Sequoia Lodge last time which was fine but found mealtimes annoying. At busy times you are allocated a slot for breakfast so get there early on the day of arrival to get the best choice. Similarly it was hard to get a reasonable time to eat in the evening unless you booked at least the morning ahead and the children's menu is monotonous. We were there 3 nights and didn't use the pool or playground ! Buffalo Bill's is well worth it but book ahead for the earlier show.

marbeth · 12/01/2006 19:24

You can still buy the annual passes.Only at disneyland paris.Just buy them when you arrive at the park.

janinlondon · 13/01/2006 10:19

Holiday Inn often have deals doing rooms for as little as 86Euros a night (which is what we paid in August last year). I think you'd be hard pressed to beat their direct internet booking system, or the price. The four "outside the magic" hotels are all right next to each other and surprisingly very very close to the park.
