Have you thought about Rock in Cornwall. Try www.cottageinrock.co.uk which lists a very child-friendly cottage with a special offer for Feb half-term

We are staying in the sunny (foggy) UK - visiting friends and family - London a rural Hampshire! Bring it on.

KittyWalker · 20/01/2011 21:45

We're off to Argate!

WotzNotNot · 20/01/2011 21:45

I have a typing / keyboard stammer Confused aiming for an online thread Oscar

mumoverseas · 21/01/2011 07:40

WotznotNot a word of warning Wink
Before I get to Dubai, I'm flying (leaving my babies with DH) Sad back to the UK to do a few Uni visits with DC1 and then spend a few days with DC2 before flying to Dubai.

At one point, I will be driving through Hampshire so be careful and look out for a XC90 being driven on the wrong side of the road Grin

WotzNotNot · 21/01/2011 09:24

Grin I'll stay well clear of the A3 then!

mumoverseas · 21/01/2011 10:33

Grin Used to drive that road a lot when I lived in Guildford. Shall I plan my route and post it in advance?

WotzNotNot · 21/01/2011 10:52

Yes please we are stopping off at Old Thorns Hotel for a couple of nights. I grew up in Farnham!

mumoverseas · 21/01/2011 12:45

oooh I used to work in Farnham!

Just so you know, have booked flights back to UK for 2 weeks in April with SA airlines and have just booked summer flights back with BA (and of course then saw on sky soddingnews that Unite were balloting!) please god, not again! Sad

WotzNotNot · 21/01/2011 13:17

Unite ballot update www.britishairways.com/travel/strike-ballot/public/en_gb BA's message - plan to operate 100% longhaul Heathrow. Gatwick and London city not affected at all. You'll be fine.

Kiwinyc · 21/01/2011 13:53

Doha, in Qatar, to visit DH who is working there.

mumoverseas · 23/01/2011 09:13

Thanks for that info Wotznot. I told DH if it happened I thought it would be Feb half-term and/or Easter so am very pleased that our easter flights are with SA airlines. Dry flight but at least I won't have the stress of not knowing if we are going. I hate flying now (although am looking forward to my first 'childless' flight in over 4 years next month - the thought of watching the whole film and not having a child puking on me is very exciting!) - knowing my luck, someone else's child will puke on me!

MABS · 23/01/2011 10:14

hey Mos - will I see you when you over next month? coffee near school?
