Have you tried easyjet or ryanair?

I read its around 11 euros for a drink at that hotel Shock Thats us out then as dh drinks like a fish and I'm quite partial to a small glass or wine or ten two. Grin

wouldn't choose Altanis really MOS. been several times and te Jumeirah much better. Prefer Al Qsar or Mina a salam to JB in truth.

Best at Travel are gooing for bookings with/without flights in dubai, or Destinology.

Shaxx · 29/12/2010 11:39

Just tried Ryanair and found some! Hooray!
But I'm nervous about flying with them as they sound so awful from all the bews about them lately.

Shaxx · 29/12/2010 11:39

news!

TanteAC · 29/12/2010 11:41

Another one for skiing!
Love it - and so easy to get to, no long haul flights...

poshtottie · 29/12/2010 11:46

The ony thing about skiing that puts me off is that ds would be in ski school, dh would be on the black runs and I would be in the bar spa. We hardly spend anytime together as it is.

MABS really? that is very interesting. A few friends went last month and said Atlantis was fab (particularly the chocolate fountain at breakfast!) Wink
I did however wonder if it was a bit 'big' and at least with JB we know what we are getting (ie fab free kids club!)
Will have a look at the other ones you suggest.
Any decison on your possible move?

Shaxx · 29/12/2010 12:36

Eurgh! Never have the choc fountain. I have seen kids in hotels put their fingers in, give them a good lick and put it back in!

I've been to the Jumeirah beach hotel and it was really lovely. Particularly as they gave us a free upgrade to a suite!

MABS · 29/12/2010 12:37

I think Atlantis is big and brash, thought it veeeery expensive too :( service was ok, not brilliant. Kids club very expensive. but that just my opionion. i have been there 3 times. first visit was defo best

poshtottie · 29/12/2010 12:40

MABS Destinology is a great site. thanks

jinglebellssantasmells · 29/12/2010 13:10

im sick of looking at hols now cannot decide where to go, egypt, canary islands or dominican hmmmm decisions

kylesmybaby · 29/12/2010 13:16

i am looking and pricing going to Goa for 2 weeks atm. i've always wanted to go. would like a hotel/complex that has a good kids club for my 9 year old.

mumoverseas · 29/12/2010 15:18

Hmm you might be right about the chocolate fountain, if we go I will avoid like the plague particularly as a friend of mine induldged for a few days and put on 5lb Wink

GordianKnot · 29/12/2010 15:21

Why dint you all enjoy your kids for the tiny amount I'd time ie ten years they want to be with you. Ten holidays. That's it ! Then they Piss off. Rather than shoving then in a crèche ?

Shaxx · 29/12/2010 17:55

Yay! I've booked flights! and have nearly booked an apartment. Can't wait.

GordianKnot my kids are at that age where they're happy to hang out with me and dh no matter what we do. Even boring museums facinate them! I hope its always the case and we don't need to use kids clubs but from what I hear from friends, some kids get bored of that when they're older and absolutely love kids clubs.

jinglebellssantasmells · 29/12/2010 17:59

where r u going shaxx?

TheParasiteofChristmasPast · 29/12/2010 18:02

i am going camping near aviemore [lowers tone]

Shaxx · 29/12/2010 19:05

Jinglebells Tenerife. We're hoping to stay somewhere north. I'm just looking at apartments now. I've never been there before so I'm really looking forward to it. Smile

PlanetEarth · 29/12/2010 19:06

Camping near Aviemore at Feb half term? You are brave! We had camping booked one year for May half term, then wimped out as snow was forecast Shock.

TheParasiteofChristmasPast · 29/12/2010 19:07

wimp!

Mumsnut · 29/12/2010 19:17

Exmoor. Nice and bracing.

poshtottie · 29/12/2010 19:31

I don't put my child in the kids club only for my benefit. He is an only child so its nice for him to meet other kids. Its nice to have a choice. And if I am paying several grand for it I want to feel I've had a break too.

So there. Grin
