Me and DP want a weekend away at the seaside. I like Southport, Brighton and Bournemouth and would like ideas for places with a similar feel.

Trearddur Bay in Anglesey, Dead posh, luvly beach, quite a lot of Sailing types. Plenty of Boden people. Roughly 3 and a 1/2 hrs from Brum if you go through wrexham and round the coast raod A55. Or train to Holyhead 1 change at Crewe. about 3 - 4 hours, and a 5 minute taxi/ bus to trearddur.

Ineed Will certainly look into Trearddur, looks like it will take about 4.25 hours by train.

Does the Boscombe Spa Resort website lie then? I thought it looked quite nice according to that.

If you're interested in Trearddur Bay try Sands Holiday Homes - they offer nice self catering houses in the bay that are luxurious and child friendly. x

I liked Llandudno when we went there. We were staying in Colwyn Bay at the time so Llandudno felt very upmarket in comparison.
